Dexter + Chaney President Norbert Orth added CEO to his role, and company co-founder John Chaney has become executive chairman. The changes are part of strategic growth initiatives by the Seattle-based company. Dexter + Chaney develops cloud-based construction management software, including Spectrum Construction Software.

Public Disclosure Commission

Retired judges Anne Levinson and John Bridges of were elected chair and vice-chair of the Public Disclosure Commission, effective July 1. Levinson was appointed to the commission in 2014 and has been vice chair since July 2015. Bridges was appointed to the commission in January 2015. The commission provides public access to information about financing of political campaigns, lobbyist expenditures, and the financial affairs of public officials and candidates.

Green River College

Dr. Deborah Casey appointed to interim vice president of instruction at Green River College, replacing Dr. Derek Brandes, who will become president of Walla Walla Community College. Green River plans to recruit for the VP of instruction position over the next year. Casey is VP of student affairs at Green River College.

Stoel Rives

Stoel Rives said Susan Fine has joined the Health Care Law Group as an of counsel attorney in Seattle. She has nearly a decade of experience as an in-house counsel at Premera Blue Cross. The business law firm has nearly 400 attorneys in 11 offices in seven states and the District of Columbia.

The Northwest Division of Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, hired Bryan Kelley as vice president of legal and promoted Brian Sorensen to safety, health and environmental director. Kelley provides legal counsel, supports business operations, and manages transactions, litigation, compliance and general risk. He represented contractors and subcontractors for the last 14 years at the construction law firm Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker. He holds a juris doctorate from Pepperdine University and a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University. Sorensen directs the company's safety and loss prevention operations, including the Zero Harm safety program. He joined the company's Seattle office in 2014 and has more than a decade of experience in construction safety management. He holds a bachelor's degree in safety and health management from Central Washington University, and is a certified Construction Health and Safety Technician.

Rush Commercial

Gig Harbor-based Rush Commercial, one of the six core businesses at The Rush Companies, added 12 employees to its team in an effort to move into new markets. The new faces are: project manager Stephen Baldwin; senior superintendent Larry Ward; superintendent Nikolas Peterson; assistant superintendents Mark Kloefkorn, Charles Crest and Casey Blakeman; senior project engineer Danette Kirby; project engineers David Casper and Sarah DeKoning; business development coordinator Alena Noson; project assistant Rachael Birge; and labor foreman Aaron Davis.

AGC Education Foundation

The Associated General Contractors of Washington Education Foundation announced its 2016-17 scholarship recipients. University of Washington students are Logan Chun, Griffin Collins, Brydon Eakins, Jarrett Ermels, Michael Feaster, Baxter Hagan, Reem Ibrahim, James Nosack, Emma Parks, Wesley Purdum, Caleb Vasquez, Andrew Vose and Craig Wilson. Washington State University students are Sam Flor, Westley Hunter, Tucker Jones, Marie Landsverk, Connor Schneider, Samuel Rykken, Charlotte Schmitz and Nicholaus Smith. Other winners are Jessica Harris and Tanner Romo of Central Washington University; Lacy Draper of Seattle Central Community College; Ashley McGrady of Renton Technical College; and Florencio Lopez of Grays Harbor College.

Washington Appleseed has a new executive director: Angeline Thomas. She was with the Access to Justice Institute at Seattle University School of Law and replaces Katie Mosehauer. Washington Appleseed is part of a national network that focuses on social and economic problems through public policy initiatives, challenging laws, and helping people understand and exercise their rights.

Stokes Lawrence said S. Jill Fairchild has joined the firm's estate planning practice after practicing with her own firm. She advises clients on estate, trust and business succession planning.
