In Seattle, CollinsWoerman hired Dave Wienke as IT manager and Trenton James as accounting specialist.

Wienke has worked in IT management for 12 years, having managed high performing technology teams for engineering and desktop support. He collaborates with the firm to design, engineer, and build solutions for high productivity and ease of use.

James joins CollinsWoerman as an accounting specialist. He's a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas and has ample experience with tax preparation, accounts receivable and payable, and financial modeling.

In Spokane, CollinsWoerman hired Don McKinney as construction administration support.

McKinney brings over 23 years of experience in construction contract administration and quality assurance and control to CollinsWoerman. He's been personally responsible for administering over $500 million in construction.

PACE Engineers

Cobley

PACE Engineers, Inc. announced the promotion of Pam Cobley to municipal department manager. Cobley has over 22 years of experience in project management, community and inter-governmental relations, easement acquisition, grant writing, funding acquisition, and long range planning. Two of her greatest accomplishments include: completing a successful public information plan for a $36 million regional sewer system and successfully obtaining over $40 Million in design and construction funding for various municipal clients.

In her new role, Cobley will manage department resources and staffing to meet client expectations, track budgets, monitor staff performance, and be responsible for QA/QC processes.

Parametrix

Van Cleave

Ken Van Cleave has joined Parametrix as a senior surveyor based in Puyallup, WA. He has 40 years of experience coordinating field crews, processing field work, and delivering final products. He has worked across Western and Eastern Washington.

Van Cleave joins Parametrix from Huitt-Zollars. His experience includes preparing FEMA surveys, formal plats, short plats, boundary line adjustments, testamentary surveys, right-of-way, and ALTA surveys. He has worked for clients such as the Washington State Department of Corrections and Tacoma Metro Parks. His project experience includes municipal park sites, road widenings, sewage treatment plants, and a new ferry terminal.

At Parametrix he joins the firm's Puget Sound Surveying group, serving public and private clients throughout the Pacific Northwest including King County, Washington State Department of Transportation, Cascade Natural Gas, Lakehaven Utility District, and others.

Tacoma-based McGranahan Architects announced five promotions within the firm.

Shona Bose, AIA has been promoted to project architect. Bose is a registered architect with over 12 years of design and planning experience. Her portfolio includes work for the University of Washington, City of Tukwila, Edmonds College. She is currently working with the Lake Washington School District. Bose is also the firm's director of environmental responsibility and designs sustainable and inclusive buildings incorporating equity, inclusion, and sustainability.

Glenn Myles has been promoted to director of design. Myles joined McGranahan eight years ago and has 20 years of experience in educational architectural design, with one middle school and three high schools in his portfolio with the firm. His most recent projects include the Fife High School STEAM Center of Innovation, Centralia College's Teacher Education and Family Development Center, and Edmonds College Triton Learning Commons addition.

Kris Stamon, AIA, DBIA, has been promoted to principal. Stamon has been with McGranahan for 20 years, most recently serving as a project manager on the firm's K-12 and higher-ed projects, with a focus on alternative delivery methods. Currently, he is working on a design-build project, Federal Way Public Schools' Memorial Field. As principal, Stamon will continue to provide executive leadership on key projects as well as contribute to the firm's business development efforts with a strategic focus on design-build work.

Andy Hartung, AIA, NCARB, Assoc. DBIA has also been promoted to principal. Hartung joined McGranahan 17 years ago and brings his 20 years of experience in architecture to this leadership role. Hartung is currently working on multiple projects for Pierce College, the Agricultural Resource Center for Franklin Pierce School District, and recently completed Highland Middle School for Bellevue School District.

Liz Holloway has been promoted to director of marketing. Holloway joined McGranahan in 2019 as marketing manager and brings over 20 years of experience in the A/E/C industry. She has played a critical role in the firm's marketing and communication efforts, including qualifications and proposal strategy and collateral material concepts. Holloway will expand her leadership role while continuing to guide operational aspects of the firm's marketing initiatives.

NW Natural

For the third consecutive year, NW Natural scored the second-highest in customer satisfaction among large utilities in the West, according to J.D. Power. NW Natural received 773 points in the West large utility segment, which represents utilities serving 500,000 or more residential customers, as part of J.D. Power's Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study. This is the 19th time the company has scored in the top two in the West. NW Natural also scored in the top 10 in the nation among large gas utilities this year. The 2022 Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study is based on responses from 57,239 online interviews conducted from January 2022 through October 2022 among residential customers of the 84 largest gas utility brands across the United States, which represent more than 64.6 million households. The study, now in its 21st year, measures residential customer satisfaction with natural gas utilities across six factors: safety and reliability; billing and payment; price; corporate citizenship; communications; and customer service. NW Natural, a part of Northwest Natural Holding Company, is headquartered in Portland, and has been doing business for more than 160 years. NW Natural currently provides natural gas service to approximately 2.5 million people in more than 140 communities in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Standard Insurance

Portland-based Standard Insurance (The Standard) and Securian Financial Group announced the closing of the acquisition of Securian Financial's retirement plan recordkeeping business by The Standard, in accordance with the terms of the agreement reported on Oct. 18, 2022. The acquisition combines the recordkeeping business of two providers with expertise in retirement plan administration, customer service and a shared focus on fiduciary protections. The business will operate under The Standard brand and include Securian Financial's retirement solutions employees, management, client relationships and distribution networks. The Standard, in business since 1906, is a provider of financial protection products, including group and individual disability insurance, group life, dental and vision insurance, voluntary benefits, absence management services, and retirement plans and annuities for employers and individuals.

Pet Food Express and Rainier Partners announced the appointment of retail executive Denyelle Bruno as chief executive officer of Pet Food Express, an omnichannel pet retailer that sells healthy pet foods, goods, and services from over 60 locations throughout California. The company partnered with Seattle-based Rainier Partners earlier this year. Bruno brings 25 years of experience at companies such as Apple, Peet's Coffee & Tea, Tender Greens and Drybar. She currently serves as a board member for the American Veterinarian Group. Founded by Michael Levy over forty years ago, Pet Food Express has helped pioneer the evolution of the pet industry by offering high quality pet products and services while championing local pet shelters and charities. Rainier Partners is a private equity firm investing in lower middle-market services businesses.

Megan Gluth-Bohan, owner and CEO of Seattle-based chemical distributor TRInternational, was recently recognized with two honors for leaders in her industry. In November, she was named Distributor of the Year by the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) for “her authority on key policy issues facing the industry [and] her ability to create lasting connections” as a CEO. As a NACD member, Megan Gluth-Bohan has served on several NACD committees. She served as a spokesperson this year as the industry faced significant ocean cargo and shipping challenges. Currently, Gluth-Bohan serves as the first female member of the NACD board's executive committee and was just elected vice chair. Earlier this year, Gluth-Bohan was named by the Women Presidents Organization as one of 2022's Women 2 Watch, an annual list recognizing the 50 fastest growing women-owned companies within their membership. She obtained a law degree from the University of St. Thomas and worked primarily in the civil litigation before joining TRI in 2012 as the company's first general counsel. She later became TRI's president and then the company's second-ever CEO. Founded in 1994, TRInternational is a supplier of raw materials in all sectors, including pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, cosmetics and food additives, and works closely with manufacturers across the globe.

Fortive has appointed Eric Branderiz to its board of directors with a term commencing on January 1, 2023. At that time, the size of the board will expand from eight to nine members. Branderiz most recently served as the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Enphase Energy, a renewal energy technology company. Prior to joining Enphase, Branderiz served as the chief accounting officer and corporate controller of Tesla, and in various senior roles, including as the senior vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer, at SunPower Corporation, a solar energy system design and manufacturing company. Previously, Branderiz served in various senior roles with Knowledge Learning, Spansion, and Advanced Micro Devices. Branderiz is a Certified Public Accountant in California. Fortive is headquartered in Everett, and employs a team of more than 18,000 research and development, manufacturing, sales, distribution, service and administrative employees in more than 50 countries around the world.

Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County has four new board members: Brian Cullin, Todd Hutton, Nils Pedersen and David Rinn. Cullin has been a senior advisor at the Pentagon and State Department, and led communications for two Fortune 500 companies. Hutton was president of Utica University for 18 years and was vice president for academic administration at Willamette University for eight years. Pedersen returned to the board after a two-year hiatus. He is a private practice attorney in Port Townsend, and has served on Habitat's resource development, finance, and governance committees. Rinn has 30 years of experience in a range of financial, corporate, development and executive management roles at Morgan Stanley, Microsoft, Ancestry.com and Pendrell Corp. The Habitat for Humanity branch is planning a permanently affordable community of up to 120 homes in its locality.

Audrey Eustice, PHR, SHRM-C, joined UMC as human resources director. Eustice has over 26 years of HR experience, including HR management, organizational effectiveness and strategic organizational leadership. She previously worked at an aerospace company managing change, developing leaders, and strategically providing solutions to complex issues. Her past accomplishments include integrating intern and apprenticeship programs, creating formal leadership programs, and developing an extensive training program that allowed employees to create clear career paths. She has also been a key member in implementing and executing succession planning for five leadership levels for Fortune 500 companies. Mukilteo-based UMC is a mechanical engineering, facilities maintenance and construction company.

Vancouver, B.C.-based equipment auctioneer Ritchie Bros. launched the Ritchie Hub blog and the Inside Edge podcast, which it calls two new ways to get insights into the equipment market. The blog and podcast cover topics such as pricing and volume trends, auction results and inspection tips.
