City of Seattle

Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell appointed Bonnie Glenn to serve as the interim director of the Office of Police Accountability (OPA) following director Gino Betts' announcement of his intention to resign on Dec. 13, following two and a half years of service leading the OPA. Glenn currently serves as OPA deputy director and is an experienced leader in this space, with more than 25 years of legal and judicial experience. Before serving as deputy OPA director, Glenn served for more than seven years as an administrative law judge with the Washington state Office of Administrative Hearings. Her experience includes decades of public service, including as the deputy chief of staff at the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, the acting director of the Seattle City Attorney's Office Domestic Violence Unit, and the assistant to the secretary of the Department of Social and Health Services on Juvenile Justice.
