Landis

Kirkland-based Compass Construction recently promoted Justin Landis, Chris McGraw, Jacob Jeske, Jerman Aguilar and David Do. Landis has been promoted from field superintendent to superintendent and is currently on the Bryant Manor affordable housing project in Seattle. Landis was hired at Compass in 2015 as a punch lead, was promoted to assistant superintendent in 2016, and later promoted to field superintendent in 2024. McGraw has been promoted from labor foreman to assistant superintendent. He was hired with Compass as a laborer in 2017 and promoted to a labor foreman in 2019. He joins Landis on the Bryant Manor project. Jeske has been promoted from estimating engineer to estimator. He joined Compass in 2014 as a project engineer and transitioned into estimating in 2020. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management and minors in structural engineering and business administration from Washington State University. Do has been promoted from controller to finance director. He joined Compass in 2016 as a staff accountant and payroll manager and was later promoted to assistant controller and then controller in 2019. Do holds a bachelors' degree in accounting from the University of Maryland.

Bowman benefits from $62M refi

Developer Legacy Partners opened the 278-unit Bowman, in Fremont, in the summer of 2016. AEW Capital Management owns the building, and jointly announced a new $62 million refinancing package with the lender, PGIM Real Estate. The deal replaces the prior loan, also from PGIM. The new money is part of a two-property deal with AEW, worth $107.2 million, also covering a multifamily building in Charlotte, North Carolina. PGIM's Tom Goodsite said in a statement, “We're proud to provide financing to support these well-located multifamily communities in Charlotte and Seattle, which are two dynamic markets with growing populations and a strong demand for high-quality housing.” AEW's Al Della Porta added, “We look forward to executing our vision and enhancing these communities for residents and investors alike.”

Kidder Mathews

Johnston

The multifamily gang at Kidder Mathews has a new member: Matt Johnston. He makes the move from Northmarq. He said in a statement, “I'm excited to bring my energy, experience and commitment to a team that values deep market expertise, entrepreneurial thinking and best-in-class service. Seattle's multifamily market is dynamic and full of opportunity.” At Kidder, he'll be working primarily with Jerrid Anderson, who added, “As investor activity accelerates across the region, we're scaling our team with trusted professionals who know how to get deals done. Matt's track record of success, deep local knowledge and client-first mindset make him an excellent addition.” The group is also led by Dylan Simon.

PCL Construction Services

Fernandez

PCL Construction Services has promoted Andrew Fernandez to district manager of its Seattle office. Fernandez has more than 17 years of experience at PCL. As district manager, he will lead PCL's Northwest-based projects, including the newly announced shared-use lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. A Washington State University graduate, Fernandez comes back to the region after serving as operations manager for Nordic PCL Construction in Hawaii. Additionally, after several years leading the Seattle office, Tyler Kautz has been appointed vice president, data centers, and will lead PCL's national Mission Critical Center of Excellence from Seattle. PCL's Mission Critical division has delivered more than 120 data center and infrastructure projects valued at over $3 billion. Ankrom Moisan

Great

Architecture, interior design, brand, and planning firm, Ankrom Moisan has promoted Michael Great to vice president of architecture. Great steps into this leadership role, succeeding Murray Jenkins, who was recently named the firm's president.

Building on Ankrom Moisan's integrated architecture and interiors model, Great will enhance collaboration across the firm, deepen community engagement, and expand mentorship and professional development opportunities. He intends to launch a firmwide workforce development initiative to identify skill gaps and nurture emerging leaders.

His immediate priorities include refining project workflows to boost creativity, minimize repetitive tasks, and provide real-time performance insights.

Great began his career with Ankrom Moisan 25 years ago as an intern, working across multiple design studios. He has since held key positions, including project designer, managing principal, and most recently, design director of architecture.

PLS Engineering

LaBerge

PLS Engineering has announced the latest addition to its civil engineering team, Logan LaBerge. A recent graduate of Washington State University, LaBerge earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and has completed a course in Engineering Innovation in Design. LaBerge's hands-on experience includes an internship with the Washington State Department of Transportation assisting engineers with various projects and he participated in training programs focused on bridgework site safety.

Rice Fergus Miller

Avalos

Rice Fergus Miller’s Spokane office has hired Aissa Avalos in the role of interior designer. Avalos earned the full-time role six weeks into her summer internship with the firm.

A recent graduate of Washington State University, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design, graduating with honors. During her time at WSU, she served as editor-in-chief of Eunoia, a student-run magazine publication for the School of Design + Construction and was actively involved with the First Gen Center supporting fellow first-generation college students.

Avalos will be serving RFM’s healthcare and hospitality studios.

Compass Construction

Kirkland-based Compass Construction has hired Victoria Scott, Marija Magoc-Pobric, Mike Vos, Paul Roth, Jacob Treen and Troy Bushmeyer.

Scott has joined the Simon Northgate project team as a project engineer. She was originally hired in the summer of 2024 as a project engineer intern and recently graduated from Washington State University with a B.S in Construction Management.

Magoc-Pobric has joined Compass as a project manager. She has 10 years of experience in the construction industry, primarily working on multifamily mixed-use residential and preconstruction projects. She graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S in Construction Management.

Vos brings over two decades of experience in the construction industry, having progressed from laborer foreman to assistant superintendent, with a strong focus on safety management and field operations. He joins as a field superintendent.

Roth is an experienced construction professional with a strong background in project and field operations management. A U.S. Navy veteran, he also holds certifications in emergency medical services and fire officer training. He joins the Tanager project in Seattle as a field superintendent.

Treen has joined Compass as a project engineer. He previously worked in roles ranging from project estimator to coordinator, supporting large-scale commercial projects. He's been assigned to the Trace-Nitze Stagen project in Seattle.

Bushmeyer has rejoined Compass as a superintendent, bringing over 15 years of combined field and construction management experience. He was originally hired in 2017 as an assistant superintendent. He holds a Construction Management Certificate from Renton Technical College.
