Walkins

Gov. Bob Ferguson has appointed current Pierce County Superior Court Commissioner Doris Walkins to the position of Pierce County Superior Court Judge. Walkins' appointment fills the position that Judge Karena Kirkendoll's resignation will vacate.

Walkins is a career litigator with more than 20 years of legal experience. She has served in her current role as a Pierce County Superior Court Commissioner in Tacoma since 2022, presiding over a range of civil and juvenile criminal dockets. Prior to becoming a full-time court commissioner, Walkins was a civil practice attorney in Pierce County, where she focused on family law, dependency, adoption and estate planning. As a private attorney, she also handled misdemeanor and occasional felony criminal cases, served as a pro tem court commissioner and was a Title 26 guardian ad litem for 13 years. Walkins has extensive experience litigating in Washington state courts and has also appeared in tribal court.

Walkins earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Washington Tacoma and her law degree from Seattle University School of Law.

Stinson

Cureo Architecture + Design hired Jacob Stinson to join its team in Seattle. A licensed architect, Stinson brings six years of professional experience across a range of project types from large mixed-use developments to community healthcare and interior renovation projects.

Stinson hails from Oklahoma, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma, and had recently taught architecture. He has a Master of Architecture from Harvard and experience living and working in Mexico City.

Atchison

Parametrix promoted Alex Atchison and Mallory Wilde to serve as managers in the firm's Washington state transportation division, the firm's largest division. Atchison will serve as transportation planning division manager. She joined Parametrix in 2015 and has nearly three decades of industry experience. In her new role, Atchison will lead the traffic operations, safety and planning groups within the division.

Wilde will serve as transportation design division manager. She also joined Parametrix in 2015 and has 15 years of industry experience. In her new role, Wilde will lead the local agencies, department of transportation, Tribal, active transportation, and transit design groups within the division.

In both of their new roles, Atchison and Wilde will be responsible for mentoring, developing, and managing staff while supporting projects and business development.

Lauren Rock has been promoted to senior associate. She has over 12 years of experience at the firm and focuses on fire stations and multifamily projects. Rock's expertise includes integrating critical systems while balancing code requirements and program goals.

Emma Nowinski was promoted to senior associate. She has expertise in structural engineering and construction management and has worked on complex multifamily projects such as Beacon Crossing, as well as fire station work in Seattle and Tukwila. Nowinski is in training for design-build certification through the Design-Build Institute of America and has participated in Leadership Tomorrow.

Trey Hoffman was promoted to associate. He has provided leadership for complex multifamily projects and contributes to the firm's sustainability initiatives as a Passive House-certified member of the team. His contributions include sustainable project economics and budget-constrained material selections. He had a leadership role on the Roosevelt District LEED Gold project.

David Sarti was hired as a project manager, bringing experience in housing, education, healthcare and community design across the Puget Sound region.

Nathan Leverson was hired as a designer, bringing six years of experience in multifamily housing, mass transit, and infrastructure projects.

Rachael Koffman was hired as a project architect. She brings international experience in residential design, and specialized expertise in universal design and aging-in-place design principles.

Huitt-Zollars has named Francis Wall as the firm's executive vice president and chief operating officer. Wall will oversee firm-wide operations, practice performance, and strategic execution across all markets. He previously served as senior vice president and public works practice area leader, and brings experience delivering complex public infrastructure projects. He works out of the Seattle office.

Danny Applegate has been elevated to senior vice president and public works practice area leader. In this role, he will lead the Public Works business sector, advancing the firm's capabilities in water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure and facilities. He has more than 25 years of experience in water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure, with expertise in large-diameter pipelines, complex collection systems and strategic planning.

TAPCO Credit Union

TAPCO Credit Union announced the appointment of Kyle Burke as director of remote service delivery, a newly created leadership role designed to strengthen the credit union's remote service channels, including the contact center and digital experience team.

Burke brings more than 15 years of financial institution experience with a strong emphasis on leading service-to-sales operations, digital engagement, and consumer lending. His background includes leading and coaching service teams, supporting digital adoption, and ensuring strong alignment between member experience, operational performance and regulatory requirements.

In his new role, Burke will focus on developing high-performing remote service teams across all non-physical branch channels. His responsibilities include setting performance goals, monitoring service and sales results, partnering with branches and cross-functional teams, and guiding training efforts in digital and self-service tools. He will also support operational strategy, vendor relationships, compliance, and budgeting.

Patrick Lumber Company (PLC), a Pacific Northwest-based lumber wholesaler and specialty wood supplier, announced a series of leadership promotions and industry appointments. Over the past year, PLC's Chelsea Zuccato, Lena Jacobson and John Quast have stepped into new leadership positions across marketing, finance and industry representation.

Zuccato has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing, where she now leads PLC's trading team and marketing communications. With nearly two decades at PLC, Zuccato brings industry knowledge and experience to the role, supporting product expansion and market growth. She was also recently appointed to the North American Wholesale Lumber Association board of directors.

Jacobson has been promoted to controller, overseeing PLC's financial operations and accounting strategy. In her new role, Jacobson will focus on improving the company's financial processes and supporting long-term stability. “Her recent CPA achievement reflects the high standards she sets for herself and for our organization,” said Natalie Heacock, president and CFO at PLC.

Quast, PLC's president of export, has been elected president of the Portland Lumber Exporters Association. His appointment further solidifies PLC's leadership presence in the lumber export community and highlights his commitment to expanding international connections and mentoring the next generation of traders.

Seattle Sports (710 AM) and the Seattle Seahawks announced the return of The John Schneider Show, the exclusive weekly program featuring Seahawks Executive Vice President and General Manager John Schneider. The show will air every Thursday at 4 p.m. through April 23 as the team prepares for the NFL Draft.
