Deborah E. Taylor has been named terminal services administrator for the Port of Vancouver, USA. She replaces the retiring William G. Wilson. Taylor has been with the Port of Vancouver since 1990, working in various capacities before becoming an administrative assistant to marketing and terminal services in 1992. Prior to working for the port, she was assistant to the warehouse manager at Northwest Packing, which is located at the Port of Vancouver.
Thomas E. Ramsay, a former Presbyterian pastor, has been appointed shelter ministries director for Union Gospel Mission in Seattle. Ramsay replaces Michael Teague, who has become chief executive officer of the Los Angeles Rescue Mission. Rev. Ramsay will oversee the operation of three shelters which provide an average of 1200 hot meals daily for more than 400 homeless people. Two of the shelters are located in downtown Seattle and the third one, a transitional housing facility, is in Rainier Valley. Ramsay has been pastor for churches in Missouri and Texas, and three different Presbyterian churches in the greater Seattle area.
Stanley Stoffel has been named manager of Kent-based Cascade Western Representatives Inc., which covers the Washington, Alaska and northern Idaho markets. Stoffel's background include 17 years within the electrical industry, and 26 years in distribution and sales.
Bob Fortner has joined Centric Development, a Kirkland-based multimedia development firm, as project manager. Fortner will manage Centric's Microsoft Network online application development projects. Prior to joining Centric, Fortner worked for Microsoft. Mark Peterson has also joined the company as its new manager of marketing communications. Previously, he worked for Seattle-based public relations and marketing communications firm Communication Northwest, where he represented a variety of financial, legal, high-tech and non-profit organizations.

Direct response Advertising agency CF2GS, a subsidiary of True North Communications with offices in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Reno, has hired John Holm as associate creative director for U.S. Bank and senior art director for clients L.A. Cellular and the California State Automobile Association. Holm worked for several years as an independent television commercial director and with Wyoming Films. Previously, he served as an art director for EvansGroup Advertising, Wells Rich Greene/New York, and Cole & Weber in Seattle.
Woodinville-headquartered The Pinnacle Consulting Group, which provides industrial facility planning and material handling systems design and implementation for warehouse/distribution, manufacturing, and repair and maintenance industries, has added Saralynn Ness to its staff as a summer intern. Ness, a student at Cornell University in New York State, is entering her senior year in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering.
The Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel, formerly the WestCoast Everett Pacific Hotel, has added three members to its staff. Jan Goyt has been appointed director of sales and marketing. Previously, Goyt was director of sales and marketing for Campbell's Resort and Conference Center in Chelan. The new catering director for the facility is Vera Waltner. Waltner was formerly catering director for the Tulalip Inn in Marysville and the Marina Village Inn in Everett. And, Goi Holliday-Brown has been hired as corporate sales manager. Holliday-Brown comes from the Holiday Inn, Renton, where she worked as sales manager.
Kindred Nolan & Callahan Advertising, a new advertising agency founded by three former Elgin Syferd/DDB Needham employees, has opened its doors in Seattle with several new accounts including West One Bank. Agency principals are: Vandy Kindred, senior copywriter; Kevin Nolan, senior art director; and Dan Callahan, account supervisor.
Gregory Laycock, investment properties specialist at Grubb & Ellis Company, has been awarded the certified commercial investment member (CCIM) designation by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.
Bo Peck has been named office/retail leasing manager by UNICO Properties. Peck will handle office and retail leasing for the company's managed properties in downtown Seattle.
CB Commercial Real Estate Group has rehired Hans Siebert, who left CB in 1989 and formed Pacific Eastern Real Estate Group, as a senior vice president. Scott Davis has also recently joined CB Commercial as a sales assistant in their Bellevue office.
Theodore Garman, associate broker with Chiles & Company Inc., has been awarded the certified commercial investment member (CCIM) designation by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.
The income property finance department at Continental Mortgage Company of Seattle has named Bryan Foxley to the president's club for being the top producer of commercial real estate loans.
Christina Narr has been appointed as executive director of Common Ground,, a Seattle-based low-income housing development organization. Narr has served over a decade as the associate director of the Seattle-King County YWCA.

The Washington State Housing Finance Commission will sponsor a free community homebuyer education seminar on June 27 and 28. The seminar, which totals five hours in length, will be held at First Mutual Bank, 2038 N.W.
