CF2GS

Seattle direct response marketing advertising agency CF2GS, a subsidiary of True North Communications, has hired Patrick Dunn as a copywriter and Mary Peters in the new position of human resources manager. Before joining CF2GS, Dunn was a copywriter with Herring Newman in Seattle, and Peters was a benefits analyst with Attachmate in Bellevue.

Tee Time Reservations

Jeffrey G.M. Chun has been named vice president of technology and technical services at Tee Time Reservations Course Scheduling Management Systems & Service, a Seattle-based provider of proprietary software programs to help golf courses manage tee times. Before joining the company, Chun provided programming and system support for various users, including manufacturers, governmental, scientific and judicial. Tee Time Reservations announced the launch of its service in June, shortly after its first golf course went on-line. A national rollout, initially focusing on Pacific Northwest states, will include daily fee public, municipal, semi-private and resort destination golf courses. It will be linked to a nationwide reservation service that uses live operators who can book tee times within seconds.

Kibble & Prentice

Paul Lyons has joined regional financial services firm Kibble & Prentice as a qualified plan administration consultant. Lyons has over 12 years of experience managing retirement plans, and previously was employed at a regional pension services group as a managing consultant.

AGC midyear conference

The Associated General Contractors of America is holding its 1995 Midyear Meeting Oct. 5-9 in Nashville, Tenn. Planned events include a legislative update, educational seminars, a silent auction, social events (including a ladies' luncheon with Naomi Judd), and a golf tournament. Principal registrant fee is $375, a spouse/guest is $100, and young adults under 21 are free. APWA conference

The British Columbia and Washington State chapters of the American Public Works Association have combined to sponsor the 1995 Fall Conference Oct. 3-6 in Spokane. The conference will feature speakers, vendor displays, project overviews, a golf tournament and other events. Full registration is $200 ($225 after Sept. 15), and students/retired members are $160. The Portland Cement Association has released its schedule for fall and winter courses in the cement and concrete fields. Courses planned this fall include: Concrete for Cement Industry Personnel, Oct. 2-6; Microscopy of Clinker and Cement, Oct. 9-13; Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician-Grade I, Oct. 9-12; Cement Manufacturing for Process Engineers and Plant Technical Personnel, Oct. 16-19; Microscopy of Clinker and Cement, Oct. 16-20; Advanced Topics in Concrete Technology, Oct. 23-26; Cement Chemist's Workshop on X-Ray Fluorescence Analysis, Oct. 23-25; Mill Grinding, Oct. 30-Nov. 3; Concrete: Principles and Practices, Nov. 6-10; Troubleshooting: Solutions to Concrete Field Problems, Nov. 13-15; Two-Day Workshop: Practical Repair Methods and Materials, Nov. 16-17; Two-Day Workshop: How to Control Cracking and Prevent Surface Defects in Concrete, Nov. 30-Dec. 1; and Kiln Process, Dec. 11-15. Jack Miller seminar

Jack Miller is on the road again for his 27th consecutive year of delivering construction industry seminars. The first stop will be in Nashville, Tenn. A seminar on total quality management will be given Oct. 2-3, followed by marketing on Oct. 5-6 and design/build/lease/financing on Oct. 9-10. The next stop will be in Chicago. TQM will be given Oct. 30-31, marketing Nov. 2-3 and design/build/lease/financing Nov. 6-7. Miller will be in Philadelphia Dec. 4-5 for TQM and Dec. 7-8 for marketing. His final stop will be in Orlando, Fla. TQM will be given Jan. 15-16, marketing Jan. 18-19, and design/build/lease/financing Jan. 22-23. Attendance at each seminar satisfies 14.4 classroom hours of continuing education units. Also, each seminar has been approved by the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board. Tight job control

FMI Corp. has scheduled several of its Tight Job Control seminars in October.
