First Choice Health

First Choice Health, a Seattle-based regional network of 64 hospitals and nearly 6,400 health care providers, has named Dr. Ricord B. Winstead as vice president and medical director. He succeeds First Choice Health founding medical director Dr. Anna Chavelle, who has retired. Winstead currently serves as associate regional chief of staff for the North district of Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound. Previously, he served as medical director of the Puget Sound Division of QualMed Health Plan and as medical director of Cigna Health Plan of Washington.

Relta Gray Associates

Relta Gray Associates executive Jeff Christensen has been named as an associate of the Seattle public relations firm. Christensen joined RGA in February 1994 and has been responsible for marketing and advertising for local and national accounts. He came to the company following a communications position with Egghead Software.

Toll Free Cellular

Seattle's Toll Free Cellular, a provider of toll-and airtime-free service for cellular telephones, has hired Jim David as its vice president of sales. David most recently was a vice president at Seattle-based software development company Aldus Corp., and before that, was Egghead Discount Software's senior vice president/general manager of corporate and government sales.

Clothier & Head

Certified public accountants Clothier & Head, Seattle, has added Debra Weller as network support technician, Randall Faber as senior accountant, and Carri Owsley, Dante John Driver and Thomas Ederer as new staff accountants.

Chamber of Commerce

Loretta Pain has been named general manager of the Southwest King County Chamber of Commerce. Pain has served as the branch manager and assisted with the inauguration of a start up branch of Sterling Savings Bank in Burien. She also has been on the chamber's board of directors and co-chair of the group's Burien Government Affairs Committee.

Cloud Public Relations

Bellevue-based Cloud Public Relations Inc. has received a Telly Award for its SCAN remarketing/training video developed for Electronic Transaction Corp., the nation's largest check loss prevention company. The international competition honors non-network television commercials and programs as well as non-broadcast video and film productions. Cloud Public Relations manages communications programs in professional and financial services, high-technology, telecommunications, commercial real estate, health care, retail and nonprofit.

The Norman Company

The Norman Company has hired John Seidelmannas research associate to head up the company's newly created research department. Seidelmann will collect and study information regarding commercial real estate market trends throughout the Northwest.

Port of Chehalis tenant

The Port of Chehalis has reached an agreement with Imperial Fabricating Company Inc. to locate on Port property near the Circuit City Distribution facility, another port tenant. Imperial plans to construct a 90,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. Employment at the new plant is expected to be between 75 to 100 full-time jobs within the first year of operations.

World Vision

World Vision U.S. will be dedicating its new national headquarters Nov. 1. The company broke ground on its four-story, 150,000-square-foot Federal Way headquarters a year ago. On Oct. 16, a three-month phased relocation was completed when the final departments moved into the new offices. In all, 286 staff relocated with the organization from Monrovia, Calif. An additional 168 staff have been hired locally.

Retail centers sold

Big 5 Retail Center, a shopping center of approximately 21,860 square feet, located on 104th Ave. S.E. in Kent, recently sold for $2.575 million. Pickering Square, a 120,000-square-foot retail center in Issaquah, also recently sold for $9 million. Paul Sleeth and Terry Moss of Colliers Macaulay Nicholls International were the listing brokers for both transactions.

RE/MAX

Chuck Cady, sales associate with RE/MAX Northwest Realtors in Seattle, has been named one of the RE/MAX top 10 producers for the Pacific Northwest Region including Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.

Frontier Bank

Mary Jobe has recently joined Frontier Bank's commercial real estate department as vice president. Jobe spent 17 years with Key Bank in commercial real estate lending and mortgage banking.

Coldwell Banker

Coldwell Banker Bain Associates made $19,177 in donations to 21 Puget Sound charities for the four months of June through September. Recipients included: Virginia Mason Foundation's Bailey-Boushay House, Puget Sound Blood Center & Program, Intercommunity Peace & Justice Center, Genesis House, Eastside Sexual Assault Center for Children, Center for Contemporary Art and The Lakeside Chorus.

Conference on leases

An advanced conference on commercial real estate leases will be held Dec. 14 and 15, at the Seattle Center. The conference will explore drafting and negotiating leases, as well as remedies in case of default.
