King County Executive Gary Locke and King County Council members have attributed the county's seventh annual "Celebrate Success" awards honoring outstanding minority/women businesses. Awarded are: Susan Black and Associates, architecture and engineering category; Lin and Associates, architecture and engineering category; Seattle Super Smoke, concessions category; Wespac Inc., construction category; Wright Inc., construction category; Eldridge & Company, consultant category; Washington Transit Advertising, consultant category; Andover Printing, purchasing/service category; and Evergreen Computer Products, purchasing/service category.

The Board of Directors of Kirkland-based Henry Cogswell College, a school specializing in engineering, engineering computer and computer sciences for working adults students, has authorized the relocation of the College's main campus and administrative offices in Downtown Everett, effective August 15.
An information session on Seattle University's executive master of not-for-profit leadership (NPL) program in the Institute of Public Service is scheduled for April 10 at 6 p.m. on campus. Lisa Sondermann-Gilbert has been named director of conference services for Bell Harbor International Conference Center, a meeting facility located on Seattle's downtown waterfront which is scheduled to open in June. And, Nancy Vercoutere has been named human resources director and assistant to the general manager.
Laura Oberto, chief operational officer of Kent, Wa. and Albany, Ore. based Oh Boy! Oberto Sausage Company, a snack food company, has been named 1996 Executive of the Year by Snack Food Magazine. In 1994, the family-owned company acquired the Smoke Craft and Lowrey's meat snack brands. It employs nearly 500 people.

Seattle advertising company CF2GS, specialized in integrated, response-driven marketing communications, has hired David Hinton as a database information manager. Previously, Hinton was a database marketing analyst at AT&T Wireless Services in Kirkland.
Northwest Research Group Inc., a market research firm located in Bellevue, has hired Jane Alston as research assistant. Prior to joining the team at Northwest Research Group, Alston was a consumer research assistant at MarketWise Inc., in Charlotte, N. C.
Mark H. Dawson, a 10-year portfolio management veteran, has joined investment advisory firm Rainier Investment Management Inc. as senior portfolio manager. Dawson came to Rainier Investment Management Inc. after four years with Badgley, Phelps & Bell Inc. where he served as director of equity research.
Jon W. Gacek, leading services to high technology companies at the Seattle office of Price Waterhouse LLP, has been admitted into the partnership of Price Waterhouse LLP, a worldwide network helping businesses to solve problems. A certified public accountant, Gacek began his career with Price Waterhouse in 1985.
