Delphi Computers & Peripherals

Delphi Computers & Peripherals have moved their offices and dispatch center from Green Lake to 6319 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle. Delphi is the creator of The Delphi Service Network, a group of service centers across the state who perform authorized technical service on systems and high end network peripherals that Delphi sells to government, education, and selected corporate markets.

Pacific Rim Resources, Inc.

K. Nous Martin and Scarlet Tang have joined the staff at Pacific Rim Resources, Inc. (PRR). Martin has been hired as the graphic design and marketing coordinator. Tang has been appointed project coordinator. PRR, located in Seattle, is a public affairs and communications firm specializing in transportation and environmental issues.

WRQ

WRQ has appointed Betsy Hall as channel sales manager for North America. She will be responsible for continuing to develop WRQ's channel sales program, as well as managing the sales teams that work with value-added resellers (VARs), distributors, and corporate resellers. Headquarted in Seattle, WRQ makes PC software that connects personal computer users to enterprise computers and information networks. The company also distributes Reflection products through a worldwide distribution network.

AA Party Rentals

AA Party Rentals , a Seattle based party and event company, has moved its corporate headquarters. The new offices are located at 6404 216th St. SW, Mountlake Terrace.

Southwest Mortuary

Southwest Mortuary, located in Seattle, has formed a new management team. Myron Paul has been hired as manager; Elizabeth Minnis as business manager; and Cecil Smith as assistant manager.

Economic development council

Victor Ericson, president of the Economic Development Council of Seattle & King County, has announced his resignation, effective August 23, 1996, to pursue interests outside the organization. The Economic Development Council of Seattle & King County is a public/private non-profit coalition whose 38-member board consists of business, government, labor, education and environmental leaders.

Muir Public Relations

Muir Public Relations has been hired by the Wallingford Chamber of Commerce and by a group of small businesses in Pioneer Square to help publicize and develop their images. Jeanne Muir was hired two years ago by the Fremont Chamber of Commerce and has successfully promoted that area. Based in Seattle, Muir Public Relations specializes in promoting communities, small businesses and businesses associated with communities.

World Trade Club

The World Trade Club, a non-profit association for international trade professionals, celebrated its 15th anniversary May 27. Chris Bell has been elected as the new president. Other officers for the 1996-1997 year are: Amy Sommers, vice president, Garvey Schubert & Barer; Gary Isham, treasurer, Wells Fargo HSBC Trade Bank; and Laurie Vasquez, executive director, Alliance Strategies. Nine new directors have also been appointed: Eva Chiu, InfoAdvantage Research; Joe Dion, Vine Dahlen Werner & Co.; Guillermo Fisch, Marco Marine; Rik Fish, Scandinavian Airlines System; Diana Jimenez, Lane Powell Spears Lubersky; Don Linde, Expeditors International; Yuri Nishiyama, Wind Flower Ltd.; C.J. Voss, Stoel Rives LLP; and Peter Wilamoski, Seattle University.

Toyota Motor Sales, USA Inc.

Jim Colon has been named assistant general manager for the Portland Region, Toyota Motor Sales, USA Inc. Toyota's Portland regional offices are responsible for sales and administrative activities on behalf of 73 Toyota dealers in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, western Montana and Alaska.

ComputeRepair, Inc.

Wayne Robertson has joined the staff of Kirkland-based ComputeRepair, Inc. as director of client services. Robertson is the owner of The Robertson Group, a Fresno, Calif., consulting company specializing in large scale network and graphical systems design. He is a nationally recognized expert on networks and document imaging.

TriQuint Semiconductor

TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc., Beaverton, Ore., has appointed David Pye to vice president, operations; Joseph Martin to vice president, corporate development; and Edward Winn to executive vice president, finance and administration and chief financial officer. Pye comes to TriQuint from VLSI Technology, Inc. Martin, formerly the executive vice president, finance and administration, will be responsible for managing the company's new Continuous Improvement (CPI) initiative.

GTE

Molly Baber has been named as GTE's Northwest branch regional sales manager-Business Data Network-North. She will be responsible for managing sales and marketing activity, revenue generation and quality performance for medium-sized business customer accounts in Western Washington. Baber will be located in GTE's General Office in Everett.

Sound Resource Management Group

Sound Resource Management Group has hired Susan Fife-Ferris as an environmental consultant, specializing in waste management. Based in Seattle, Sound Resource Management Group, Inc. is an environmental consulting firm, specializing in waste reduction, recycling and composting for public and private sector clients.

Office Space Online

Office Space Online has hired Brian Fairchild as vice president of marketing and sales. Fairchild will lead a campaign to raise awareness for Office Space Online, a commercial real estate information service located on the World Wide Web. Office Space Online has also recently completed expansion of its service to cover the Denver market and has plans to establish itself in other major metropolitan markets. Expansion into the San Diego and Portland markets in currently underway.

Cain and Scott

Cain and Scott has added Robert Coe to its consulting department. Coe will specialize in the appraisal of apartment properties, with additional expertise in open space and environmentally sensitive land. He has provided appraisal and consulting services in the Puget Sound Region for over nine years.

Krug awarded CCIM Broker of the Year

Pam Krug, of Seavest Realty, Inc. was awarded the "Broker of the Year" title by the Washington State CCIM Chapter at its June luncheon. Krug was selected for the organiztion's award because she exhibited the highest level of professional skill, creativity and educational principles emphasized by the Certified Commercial Investment Member Program.

JDH Group moves to new space

Allied Group

The Allied Group has named Julie Fite as it's newest property manager. Fite has over twelve years of experience in the Puget Sound area, including several years as property manager with Magnuson Management, Inc. As vice president and regional manager of Pacific Union Property Services, Inc. Fite was reponsible for all aspects of the Seattle and Portland portfolios including 2,500 multi-family units, 325,000 square feet of commercial space and 70 employees.

Department of Assessments

The Department of Assessments will begin mailing revaluation notices to taxpayers around mid-July and will continue to mail into fall. The 1996 assessment sets the value upon which 1997 property taxes are based. The assessed value of the property multiplied by the tax rate will determine the tax due. The tax rate will be established in January and appear on February tax statements; King County Assessor Scott Noble said he expects no major changes.

King County Sensitive Areas Code workshop

The King County Department of Development and Environmental Services is offering a class to help the needs of the builidng and real estate industries. The King County Sensitive Areas Code is a two-day workshop which includes a field trip to local sensitive areas. The class is approved for 15 clock hours. The next workshop will be held at the DDES building, in Bellevue, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on July 17 and 18 and costs $119. Preregistration is required; call (206) 296-7270 for more information.

Windermere

Windermere has announced the additon of three new sales associates. Jasmine and Jim Frazier work in the Madison Park office, and David Alin is assigned to the Ballard office.
