Vance & Romero

Andrea Knauss has joined the Bellevue law firm of Vance & Romero as an associate. She will begin her practice in the area of business litigation.

Merwin Productions

Merwin Productions, a Seattle film and video production company, has added three new positions to its corporate communications team. Andrew Baker joins as the digital and animation designer, Juli Morser will act as the agency and corporate executive producer and Cora Edmonds will be the executive producer for the technology division. Merwin produces corporate and public policy film and video projects throughout the U.S., Asia, and the British Isles.

The High Desert Museum

The High Desert Museum, a natural and cultural history museum located in Bend, Ore., has hired Arthur Wolf as president effective in January. Wolf will provide leadership for a 60-member staff, administer all fund raising and development activities, oversee the final stages of a $15 million capital campaign, and provide organizational vision and strategic planning for the long-term educational objectives.

The Traver Company

The Traver Company has been selected by Step by Step Graphics to design a comprehensive sales and marketing collateral system for the Washington State Convention & Trade Center, which will be featured in Step by Step's 1997 Design Process Annual. The company will be showcased in an article depicting the design process of Jim Rittiman in a gallery exhibition catalogue produced for Meyerson & Nowinski Art Associates.

Kent Chamber of Commerce

The Kent Chamber of Commerce has elected the following members to the board of directors for the 1996-1997 year; Rico Yingling, president, Borden Chemical; Tom Wood, president-elect, Washington Park Mortgage; Robert Cannon, past-president, The Cannon Group of New York Life; John Ryan, vice president commerce and industry, Curran, Kleweno & Johnson; Elizabeth Warman, vice president governmental affairs, The Boeing Company; Roberta Roney, vice president small business council, Events by Roberta; and Gary Crane, controller, Mikron Industries.

Mountlake Terrace Mortgage

Lynnwood Mortgage Corporation's Mountlake Terrace branch has added Darren Clark, David Lane, and Mical Sneed as loan officers and Ruth Sanchez as a loan processor. clark joins Lynnwood Mortgage (LMC) as a vice president and loan officer. His five years' experience as a loan officer include three years at Keystone Mortgage. Lane's six years in the mortgage business includes five years as a loan officer and one year as a loan processor. Prior to joining the Mountlake Terrace branch, he was a loan officer at Lane Mortgage. Sneed, newly appointed senior loan officer, has over 14 years' experience in the mortgage business. Sanchez will be a loan processor for the Mountlake Terrace Branch. Her nine years' experience includes three years at Keystone Mortgage and six years with World Savings & Loan Association in Southern California and Lynnwood.

Jamie W. Creek, Jr. has been named vice president of construction for The Fortune Group, a group of companies specializing in the development and construction of apartments, condominiums, and mixed-use residential/commercial projects throughout the Puget Sound region. Creek has worked in both the residential and commercial construction industries for more than 15 years.

Pacific Real Estate

Scott Carter has recently joined Pacific Real Estate Partners, Inc. as a principal. His responsibilities include leasing and sales of industrial properties as well as corporate consulting. Kip Durrell has become a principal with Pacific Real Estate Partners, Inc. Kip has been with the firm for four years as a vice president and is responsible for leasing and sales transactions in the Eastside Office market.

Windermere

Windermere Real Estate's Wall Street office announces the addition Rick Johnson as a commercial agent. Johnson has worked most recently as a business owner for seven years. He also has worked in planning and development for nine years, and in sales with Merrill Lynch for two years. Lonnie Covin has joined the Woodinville office as a sales associate. Covin, new to real estate, has worked with the Hydro West Group, Inc., since 1981.

AASK

The Apartment Association of Seattle & King Co. (AASK) announced the results of its election for two year terms on the Board of Directors. Newly elected: Cathy Jeney of Windermere Real Estate, Wall Street office; re-elected: Chris Benis of Harrison Benis & Spence; Elsa Young of Jensen, Jensen & Associates; Ben Wood, Jr. of Kasea Motor Sports and Jim Rose of Trinity Partnership.

Street of Dreams

Starwood Development, Inc. has selected Blakely Woods as their 1997 Seattle Street of Dreams site. JMR Pacific is the developer of this 22 lot community featuring 1-3 acre parcels. The seven homes featured in the 1997 show will range from 4,200 to 6,000 square feet and will be priced up to $1.2 million. The show will be open the public July 12 through August 17, 1997. Grubb & Ellis

Paine Field Business Park - Phase II was recently sold for $6.35 million, Grubb & Ellis Company recently announced. Paine Field Business Park is a 190,000 square foot industrial park consisting of Phase I and II. The Business Park consists of eight buildings of concrete tilt-up construction. Built in 1991, Phase II contains two multi-tenant industrial buildings totaling 110,856 square feet and is located at 2525 West Casino Road, Everett. Don Haze, Rick Parks, Tim Good and Craig Hill of Grubb & Ellis's Seattle office negotiated the sale on behalf of the seller, Cushing Two, Inc. The Buyer was Washington Capital Management, Inc., advisor for a pension fund represented by Kidder Mathews & Segner.

Coldwell Banker

Recently released figures show that Coldwell Banker Bain Associates' Bellevue sales office is the most productive office among all of the Coldwell Banker affiliated offices across the nation. The office, headquarters for 104 sales associates, lists $314 million in sales volume for the first three quarters of 1996. The rankings, based on sales performance through September 1996, involves the more than 2,400 Coldwell Banker offices nationwide.
