Curt Aubert and John Meier has been appointed regional managers of Whittall Management Group, Ltd., an human resource consulting firm headquartered in Federal Way with offices in Tacoma and Mount Lake Terrace. Aubert will be responsible for Pierce County operations, and Meier for Snohomish County.
Oceantrawl Inc., one of the largest commercial fishing and seafood processing companies in the United States, has named Ronald Pauley president and chief executive officer of its newly formed venture, The Fishin Place. The Fishin Place, which will be located at the Bell Street Pier in Seattle, produces take-home seafood meals. Pauley will continue as executive vice president and chief operating office of Oceantrawl Inc.
CFO2GO, a Bothell based professional service facilitator, has added overseas financing specialist David Bell to its pool of financial managers. Bell will help to open up access to Pacific Rim markets for small-to medium-sized Washington-based companies.
Alaska Airlines has reported its highest February load factor ever at 65.3 percent. The passenger load factor for the first two months of 1997 was 62.5 percent, up from 56.6 percent in 1996. Alaska Airlines, along with Horizon Air, is a subsidiary of the Alaska Air Group, Inc.
Thirteen lawyers from Lane Powell Spears Lubersky LLP have been selected by their peers to be listed in the 1997-98 edition of the Best Lawyers in America. The five Washington attorney are Charles Ekberg, James Robart, D.Wayne Gittinger, Michael Morgan and Reed Schifferman. Eight attorneys from the Portland office were cited: James Clarke, George Kirklin, Leigh Stephenson, Richard Liebman, Lewis Scott, John Folawn, John Crowell, Jr. and Wayne Hilliard.
The National Alliance to End Homelessness has awarded the YWCA of Seattle, King County, Snohomish County its 1997 Nonprofit Sector Award. The YWCA was chosen for their significant contribution to meeting the needs of homeless women, children and families. This is the first time a nonprofit Northwest agency has been chosen.
The Seattle Center has hired John Rhamstine as director of Event Production. He will oversee facility sales and events occurring in the KeyArena, Mercer Arena, Opera House and the Center's meeting and exhibition facilities. Robert Nellams has been hired as director of Patron Services. Nellams will oversee contracts, parking, transportation, customer services, and campus and event security.
