Continental Savings Bank

Continental Savings Bank announced the following promotions: Curt Byers, vice president and manager of secondary marketing; Sharon Cummings-Todhunter, vice president and manager of underwriting; Lisa Holman, vice president and manager of residential software support; Kelly Moen, vice president of income property loan administration, and Kyle Samuels, vice president and general counsel.

Lane Powell

Gary Kirk has been elected partner at the Seattle law firm of Lane Powell Spears Lubersky. Kirk concentrates his practice in estate planning and taxation.

The Bellevue Club Hotel

The Bellevue Club Hotel is adding a new spa to its existing health club facility. The new spa will feature facials, manicures, pedicures and different massage treatments complementing the already existing sauna, steam rooms and sun rooms. Spa construction is scheduled to be completed by May 15.

Enzo's

When Vince Mottola, a long-time Seattle restaurateur and owner of Vince's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, decided to sell the last of his restaurants after suffering a stroke last year, three employees offered to purchase the lower Queen Anne location. Vince's Restaurant is now known as Enzo's Ristorante Italiano. Jacki Schmick will act as manager and Jim Sheppard and Warrel Dane will act as chefs.

Camp Fire

The 1997 officers for the Central Puget Sound Council of Camp Fire Boys and Girls board of directors are as follows: Larry Bishop, president; Joe Niemer, first vice president; Ann Hooper, second vice president; Robert Gumulkiewicz, third vice president; Ernest Morris secretary; and Carolyn Kelly, treasurer.

Peak Technologies

Bellingham-based Peak Technologies, a developer of Internet performance products, has announced a new product: JetEffects, an animation tool for Web sites. JetEffects, a Java-based software product, allows Web authors to add animation to any Web site without experience in Java or HTML programming. JetEffects can be downloaded from the Peak Web site for a free 30-day trial period.

Midisoft

Midisoft Corp. announced that John H. Bauer has joined the company's board of directors. Bauer is executive vice president of Nintendo of America Inc. Prior to joining Nintendo, Bauer served as managing partner of the Seattle office and Northwest region of Coopers & Lybrand. Midisoft is an Issaquah-based provider of music and audio software.Bumbershoot Sheila Hughes has been appointed festival producer for Bumbershoot, the Seattle Arts Festival. One Reel president Norman Langill has been appointed executive producer. One Reel is a Northwest non-profit arts and events organization promoting Bumbershoot. Other staff for the festival includes booking associate David Meinert who returns to program regional rock and alternative bands. Corporate sponsorship manager Alison Snook has been selected to secure national and regional corporate sponsors for stages, venues and major projects. Chris Porter will act as the new booking coordinator.

TCI

TCI Media Services (Puget Sound) has hired Kevin Heurter as business manager and Linda Maddox as business assistant in the accounting department. Huerter will work in the company's Seattle headquarters and manage accounting and business needs for all nine Puget Sound offices.

Paccar

Edward Caudill has been promoted to general manager of Kenworth Truck Company, a division of Paccar Inc. Paccar Inc. is a worldwide manufacturer of heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and Foden nameplates.

Rotary International

Rotary International has presented its Service above Self Award to Seattle businessman Phillip Smart, Sr., owner of Phil Smart Inc. Mercedes dealership. The award recognizes individuals who embody, through their volunteer work, the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self".

SIOR

The Society of Office and Industrial Realtors (SIOR) will hold its annual Crystal Awards Luncheon March 20 in the Spanish Ballroom of the Four Seasons Olympic Hotel. At the luncheon, awards will be given for industrial and office broker of the year, as well as industrial and office development of the year. Nominees for office broker of the year are: Geoffrey Boguch, Colliers; Craig Kinzer, Craig Kinzer & Co.; and Tim O'Keefe, CB Commercial. Nominees for industrial broker of the year are: John Cox, Kidder, Mathews & Segner; Mark Flippo, Pacific Real Estate Partners; and Brett Hartzell, CB Commercial. Intracorp

Intracorp is breaking ground today on a new corporate headquarters and distribution center for Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, a distributor of corporate promotional products. The 75,000-square-foot building is to be built on 4.4 acres of Intracorp's 7-acre Woodinville Business Center, at 15525 Woodinville-Redmond Rd. Bensussen Deutsch originally came to Intracorp strictly for a land purchase, but ended up hiring them to build the project as well.

Indigo

A new apartment management, renovation and investment service has been announced by Jeff Kuhns and Debbie Hanan. The company is Indigo Real Estate Services; no further information was released.

MacPherson's Real Estate

Dan McGinnis has been named associate vice president in the Seattle office of Colliers International. McGinnis has been a top-producing broker with the firm, said President Rob Aigner.

Winmar

To the list of high-profile tenants already signed up for Redmond Town Center, add Claim Jumper Restaurant. The chain of western-style restaurants will open an 11,600-square-foot eatery between the two corporate campuses of AT&T Wireless Services on Bear Creek Parkway. The restaurant will have wood-fired pizza ovens and a display kitchen. It is part of a 19-store chain that was started in 1977 in Los Alamitos, Calif. Also at Redmond Town Center, Canyon Cafe will join the restaurant scene. The Texas-based chain's menu features a combination of Native American, Texas and Mexican dishes. The Town Center location will occupy 6,500 square feet in the center of the project, near Claim Jumper.

A look at Rosche Finanz

Wayne Ullmann, senior vice president with Quadrant Corporation, will speak on the German investment group Rosche Finanz during a luncheon program March 27. The program is to be presented by the German American Chamber of Commerce and the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle. Rosche Finanz owns some $300 million worth of commercial real estate in the Puget Sound area. Its most recent purchase is The Meridian complex of shops, restaurants and theaters in downtown Seattle. The luncheon starts at 11:30 a.m. with a social, followed by lunch at noon and the speaker at 12:30 p.m. It will be held at the Washington Athletic Club, 1325 Sixth Ave., Seattle.
