Palisade has named Dana Parker pastry chef at the Seattle restaurant. Parker previously served as the pastry chef at Piatti in Seattle.
Keller Rohrback, a Seattle law firm, has hired Margaret Wetherald to serve as partner. Wetherald focuses her practice on general and environmental coverage litigation. Marianne Jones joins as an associate, emphasizing personal planning including estate and retirement planning. Alexander Perkins joins as an associate, emphasizing antitrust, securities, product liability and consumer litigation. Suzanne Parisien joins as an associate, and her practice emphasizes insurance defense litigation, insurance coverage and general civil litigation. Alexander Baehr has also joined as an associate, emphasizing product liability, commercial and civil litigation.
Coinstar Inc. has appointed Daniel A. Gerrity president and chief operating officer. Gerrity will be responsible for the Bellevue-based developer of coin counting and processing machines' operating performance. Gerrity formerly served as vice president of product management and development as well as chief operating officer.
Xypoint Corporation, a Seattle-based firm that uses wireless technology to locate mobile people and objects, has appointed John Clark vice president of operations. Clark will be responsible for delivering wireless location-based services, such as wireless-enhanced 9-1-1, to wireless carriers. Clark formerly founded Toll Free Cellular, a provider of #800 free wireless calling.
The Pacific Northwest Generating Cooperative, a Portland-based electric power services cooperative, has signed a contract to provide future power-supply options to Okanogan County Electric Cooperative.
Kathleen Keeslar has been appointed graphic designer at Ellis Paguirigan Designs in Olympia. Keeslar was formerly an intern designer with Ellis Perry Creative.
Morse McFadden Communications, a Kirkland-based public relations agency specializing in advanced technologies, has hired Rhia Siegle as account coordinator. Michele Davis has been promoted to account manager from account coordinator. Rod Anderson has been promoted to account supervisor from account manager.

Dragon Eyes, Inc. based in Newcastle, is offering a business person's trip to China. The trip is scheduled from May 31 to June 14 and includes opportunities to meet Chinese business owners and attorneys, to see China's "Wall Street" and to research foreign business opportunities in China. George F. Will is the featured speaker at the Seattle Pacific University Greater Seattle Community Leaders' Breakfast at 7 a.m., April 16, at the downtown Seattle Sheraton. More than 900 Puget Sound area business leaders, elected officials and others will attend the sold-out event. Will is a syndicated columnist, political commentator and author.
Dr. Marc Van Driessche, a Lynnwood chiropractor, has been retained as team physician by the Snohomish County Vikings, a semi-pro football team. Van Driessche has been a team physician for three years, formerly working with the Puget Sound Jets.
Marcia Gamble Hadley has joined W&H Pacific as director of project development in the Bellevue office. She will serve as the firm's project manager for the 7,400-acre Trendwest Resort, "Mountain Star," being developed near Roslyn. In addition, she will work to identify opportunities for private development and new, mixed-use project which satisfy requirements of the Growth Management Act and the Regional Transit Authority. Hadley formerly headed The Housing Partnership and Threshhold Housing, advocacy organizations for building affordably priced housing in Seattle and King County. She managed the development of Benson Glen, a 43-unit starter home project undertaken with King County and Malden Court, an award-winning 40-unit-per-acre condominium development on Capitol Hill in Seattle. Prior to her work for the Housing Partnership, Hadley designed the renovation of the Pine Street Cottages in Seattle and worked for the City of Seattle's Downtown Housing Development division. Gary Wiggins has joined the Bellevue office of W&H Pacific as a senior project manager for the transportation department. He has managed transportation capital improvement projects for several agencies, and has been responsible for the acquisition of $19 million in state and federal grants for cities. Robin E. McKennon has joined W&H Pacific as a survey and forest services engineer-in-training. She will lead a team of multidisciplinary professionals through the management and inventory of forest and threatened species issues. She has three years experience in engineering and natural resource management.
Carl Moell has joined Robert Fossatti Associates as a project structural engineer. Formerly with DLR/John Graham, he is currently working on the Puget Sound Educational Service District Building expansion and the Orting Wastewater Treatment Plant with Parametrix. Sabet Vallejo has joined the firm as a project structural engineer, and is working on the Maywood Hills Elementary School renovation and the Pacific Place precast concrete panel design. Ruba Zumut has joined the firm as a project structural engineer. Current projects include the Mt. St. Joseph Assisted Living Center in Portland, the South Park Square Apartment Complex and various Chevron convenience stores.
Mark Johnson has joined Wise Miller Architects as a project manager. His 16 years of professional experience as an architect include planning and design for schools and civic projects such as convention and performing arts centers. Johnson is a member of the Seattle Design Review Board for downtown Seattle and the King county Arts Commission. Dan Wilson is an architectural intern at Wise Miller. He was previously with Integrus Architecture. Tanya Beers serves as an interior designer and office manager. She was previously with Design Perspectives in Seattle. Aaron Rincover is an architectural intern at Wise Miller. His recent experience includes on-site construction management with Baugh Construction and architectural administration with Edmonds School District.
Sara Bourland has joined Baylis Brand Wagner Architects of Bellevue as an interior designer. Since joining the firm, she has worked on Terrace Street Apartments on First Hill, Cordata Offices in Bellingham and Trillium Corporation Offices in Bellingham. Scott Caver has joined the firm with a degree from the University of Idaho. He will be working on the design of a new Safeway in Duvall. Jason Davis has joined the firm as an intern architect with a degree in environmental design from Texas A&M University. He will be working on several Barnes & Noble bookstores in Seattle, Woodinville, East Spokane and Mentor, Ohio. Eric Petersen, Nicole Truesdell and Andrea Vaught have also joined the firm as intern architects. A graduate of the University of Idaho, Petersen will work on the new King County District Court facility in Issaquah. Truesdell, who has a degree from Iowa State University, is currently focusing her efforts on the Kelkan Apartments in Issaquah. Vaught, who has a masters degree from Clemson University, is working on a new Safeway in Renton.
Rich ard L. Hemmen has been promoted to associate at D'Amato Conversano, Inc. Civil and Structural Consulting Engineers (DCI Engineers). Hemmen, a structural engineer, joined the firm in 1996 as a project manager. He is currently managing structural engineering for Northwest Hospital in Seattle, a new Safeway in Leavenworth, Sunset Christian Church in Sacramento and Sacred Heart School in Bellevue.
Chris V. Pitre has joined Redmond office of Golder Associates Inc. as senior hydrogeologist specializing in groundwater resources management. He has a masters degree in hydrogeology from the University of Waterloo, Canada and is a key member in the development of the upcoming American Water Resources Association (AWRA) national conference on water resources management under the Endangered Species Act.
Tony Burke has joined Thompson Vaivoda & Associates Architects (TVA) of Portland as a project manager, with 24 years of experience. He is managing several cinema projects located in Oregon and Washington for ACT III Theatres.
