Fannie Mae

Fannie Mae, a Pasadena-based home mortgage financing firm, recently named Jaynie M. Studenmund senior vice president of the company's Western Regional Office. The ten-state Western Regional Office serves Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.

Mortgage Market

Eric Seldershas been named a mortgage banker at Mortgage Market's Bellevue office; Ken Ward and Mike Holloway have been named mortgage bankers at the Federal Way office; and Eric Mullenix has been named a mortgage banker at the Northgate branch office.

Continental Savings Bank

Continental Savings Bank recently promoted Rob Owen to loan officer in its Queen Anne branch. Owen formerly served as a licensed insurance agent for Continental Insurance Services.

Grove Crane

Grove Crane, a Grove Worldwide company, has appointed Al Antoniewicz senior vice president/operations for the Shady Grove, Penn.-based firm. Antoniewicz comes to the company from P&H Mining Equipment in Milwaukee, Wisc., where he managed multi-plant manufacturing operations. Grove Crane's products are distributed in the Northwest by Coast Crane Company of Washington. Coast Crane has locations in Seattle, Portland, and Spokane.

Grove Manlift announced that 10 of their dealers, including Coast Crane Co. in Seattle, have earned "Top Dealer" awards for their performance in 1998. The awards are given to dealers who meet or exceed goal standards in sales, parts, service, training, and other areas.

Hyster Sales

Hyster Sales Co. has finalized an agreement with Genie Industries allowing Hyster Sales to become one of Genie's premier distribution centers. The product line offered by Hyster now includes aerial platforms, material lifts, trailer mounted booms, scissor lifts, and self-propelled telescopic or articulating booms. This new line will be available in Hyster's Seattle and Fife locations.

N C Machinery

Wayne Hofer has joined N C Machinery Co. as a parts and service sales representative. He will act as a liaison between equipment owners in need of hydraulic cylinder and hose repair, and the N C Machinery Hydraulic Repair Shop. Hofer recently completed his management training, and has a background in heavy equipment operation and equipment rental. He was named hydraulic sales specialist for King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. He holds a degree in forest management from the University of Washington. N C Machinery is a division of Tractor & Equipment Co., specializing in selling and servicing Caterpillar equipment.

Tegris

Bellevue-based Tegris Corp., a provider of Internet solutions and information technology services to the real estate industry, announced the addition of Chuck Orrestad as senior vice president of operations. Orrestad has over 20 years of management experience in high technology, software-based product development, operations and process management.

Lenders Interactive Online Network

Jon Tinker is the new director of broker sales and customer service for Mercer Island-based Lenders Interactive Online Network. LION says it is the leading creator of Internet tools for the mortgage industry. Tinker has 20 years' experience in the mortgage industry. The LION database at lioninc.com, provides mortgage rate and price information to subscribers of its web service.

Windermere Real Estate

John Venables is a new sales associate at Windermere's Wall Street office in Seattle, and Dana Clark is a new sales associate at the Wedgwood office. Venables previously worked for John L. Scott in Seattle and Clark worked at the Boeing Employees' Credit Union.

Michael R. Chamberlin of John L. Scott Real Estate in Seattle has been named among the top luxury brokers in the country by Unique Homes, a luxury real estate magazine. He is featured in the Megabrokers of the Northwest section in the June/July edition now on newsstands.

Marcus & Millichap

The Nyhus Condominiums in the Queen Anne neighborhood in Seattle and River Run Apartments in Kirkland have sold in deals that Marcus & Millichap helped broker. The Atwater Corp., bought the 18-unit condominium complex, 3023 14th Ave. W., for $1.85 million from the Nyhus family. Bruce Kahn represented Atwater and Stephen Sherman represented the Nyhuses. Atwater plans to rent the units. The 64-unit River Run Apartments, 10217 N.E. 132nd St., was sold by PCI Associates No. 7 LP for $7.4 million to Pacific Hillside Investors LP of California. Ken Dudunakis represented the buyer.

Norris, Beggs & Simpson

Kevin J. Smith has joined Norris, Beggs & Simpson as a sales associate in the Bellevue office. He is a University of Washington graduate and joins the firm's Eastside office leasing team. His hiring increases the number of agents in the Bellevue office to 12 and further builds on Strategy 2000, the company's plan of expansion in the Puget Sound area. "In addition to the senior professionals we've hired, we also look for young brokers that can bolster our presence now and into the future," said Roger Qualman, general manager of the Bellevue office.

Broadcast Programming

Edie Hilliard, president of Broadcast Programming in Seattle, announced the company has signed a deal to be acquired by Jones Radio Network of Denver. Broadcast Programming is owned by Broadcast Electronics Inc., serving 1,000 radio stations in the U.S. and abroad, providing weekly music as well as voicetracked "virtual" formats. It has studios and offices at 2211 Fifth Ave. and will continue to operate under its current name and with current management.

Janeros

Ron Hardesty has joined Janeros Corp., the Mercer Island-based creator of SurgiSource.com, as its information technology manager. He has 25 years experience in software development and project management.

Yankee Candle

Yankee Candle of Deerfield, Mass., has opened its second company-owned store in Washington at Alderwood Mall. Sales of the candle manufacturer and retailer are expected to top $2 billion this year. The firm has 78 stores in 24 states and will be adding 15 new stores this year.

Forex Digital

Seattle's Forex Digital Services, Inc. has added Robert Scott Wilson as president and CEO. Judith Cordova, current acting president, will continue as chairperson of the Board of Directors. Wilson recently left his position as head of sales with the Global Foreign Exchange Division of Nomura International. Forex services currency trading firms worldwide.
