Tech-Fast Metal Systems, Tacoma, has hired several new employees, including Ken Kimball as an engineer, and Craig Brown and Henry Wiggin as project managers. Kimball has 18 years of experience in the design, engineering and construction of commercial structures. He holds an engineering degree from California Polytechnic State University. Brown has 13 years of experience as superintendent and project manager. He graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz. He is a recent business administration graduate of Portland State University. He has experience in commercial project management and development. Tech-Fast designs and builds structures for the self-storage industry.
Construction consultant FMI Corp. has acquired the Brian J. Lewis Co. of Castle Rock, Colo. The Brian J. Lewis Co. consults engineering and architectural firms. Brian Lewis, the firm's owner, is now a principal consultant in FMI's Engineering & Architectural Services Group. FMI is based in Raleigh, N.C. It also has offices in Denver and Tampa, Fla.
Williams, Kastner & Gibbs announced that Curtis Robbins joined the law firm as head librarian. He has experience in legal and non-legal reference services and formerly was a reference librarian for Bogle & Gates.
Mayes Testing Engineers, Everett, has named Michael Dolder vice president and Lonnie Almli controller and human resources manager. He has been with the firm since 1991, perviously serving as general manager. He holds a civil engineering degree from the University of Utah and a MBA from the University of Phoenix. Almli is a University of Washington graduate. She has 25 years of experience in accounting and human resources.
Publicis Dialog announced five promotions and three new additions to the Seattle public relations division. John Bissell has moved from account supervisor to senior account supervisor. Vicki Nesper is also a newly named senior account executive and Meghan Volkman has moved from assistant account executive to account executive. Shelly Biggs has moved from account coordinator to assistant account executive and Greg Eppich is now assistant account executive. Scott Pitts has joined the firm as account coordinator for the food group and Christine Kinyon is a new administrative assistant to Ronald Pratt, president of the Seattle public relations division. Rosanne Flores is administrative assistant to Steve Bryant, chief creative officer.
Jon Barnes has joined Pacific Topsoils as commercial sales manager. The 20-year-old company supplies landscape soil amendments to landscapers, builders, government and homeowners. Barnes has been with the firm for 19 years.
Tim Antilla and Carol Wilber were named vice president of National Bank of Alaska in Seattle. Antilla has 25 years of international and commercial banking experience. He will focus on Northwest privately held companies and their principals. Wilber has 25 years of business banking experience and will be involved in small business banking.
The Hilton-Seattle Airport has hired Staccato Design of Portland to develop a new marketing campaign for its $53 million remodel and expansion. The hotel is adding 222 rooms and 44,000-square-foot conference center. Rick Yurk will head up the effort to develop brochures, direct mail and print ads.
