Qpoint added its 24th and 25th locations in the Pacific Northwest during the second quarter. Qpoint Lakeside opened in the Lake Stevens area of Everett. It is owned by Sherrie Henke and Rich Henke. Qpoint's other new location is in downtown Everett. Dan Haggart is the office's managing partner.
Carla Cross of Keller Williams Realty in Bellevue has been named president of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the National Speakers' Association. The Pacific Northwest group of the speakers' association has 80 members and regularly wins awards as one of the top chapters nationally. For the second consecutive year, Bellevue-based John L. Scott Real Estate was nominated for an Inman Innovator Award in the Best Offline Innovation category for development and introduction of the Internet Property Link feature. IPL gives each John L. Scott listing its own Web address that is marketed on yard signs and other traditional advertising.
Justin Grubbs has joined Windermere's Wall Street office in Seattle at a sales associate. He has worked for Nordstrom and was a consultant for H2K, a downtown Seattle interior design company. Dave Rossmann has joined Windermere's Magnolia office as a sales agent. He had worked for Home Realty in Seattle.
LandAmerica National Commercial Services reports that Gregg K. Colbo has joined its Seattle office as assistant vice president and commercial title officer and that Vicki Kryszak has joined the company as vice president and commercial escrow officer.
BRE Properties recently closed three joint venture agreements to develop luxury multifamily communities, including one in Bothell. The other two projects are in Sacramento, Calif., and Phoenix. Prudential Real Estate Investors and Northwestern Investment Management Co., a subsidiary of Northwest Mutual Life, are partners on the projects which have a total estimated cost of $87 million. Pinnacle Sonata in Bothell, 23940 40th Drive S.E., is under construction and should be finished in the coming months. Bayliss Brand Wagner Design Architects designed the project. BRE does its own construction.
Kristen E. Cosselman, formerly of Kidder, Mathews & Segner, has joined The Staubach Co.'s Corporate Services Division as business manager of the Seattle office. Earlier this summer Staubach opened the Seattle corporate services office and announced that three former Teutsch Partners brokers would staff the new office. Bob Mooney heads the office and is joined by Derek Trulson and Hans Kemp.
Lenders Interactive Online Network of Mercer Island, has announced that second quarter revenue increased 125 percent over the same quarter last year to a record $953,000. For the first six months of 1999, revenue was up 121 percent to $1.663 million. LION is a wholly owned subsidiary of Plenum Communications Inc., which is traded on the Over The Counter Bulletin Board as PLNM. LION bills itself as the leading creator of Internet tools for the mortgage industry.
Norman J. Wiener, a partner at Miller Nash from 1952 to 1998, has recently published two articles in the legal press. "Streamlining Appeals" appears in the Oregon State Bar Bulletin and "Simple Lessons from a Complex Case" is in the Litigation Manual published by the American Bar Association.
Imagio Technology Advertising and Public Relations of Seattle has added four new employees to handle new clients. Account executive Jennifer Crossen worked with AK Media/NW. Senior account executive Jennifer Grillo was operations manager for a company focused on the entertainment industry. Junior designer Angela Skeldon formerly worked at Horton Lantz Morocco and traffic coordinator Renee Wathen was previously working at the Bon Marche.
Badgley Phelps and Bell, a Seattle independent investment management firm founded in 1966, has gone online. The Web site includes information on the firm, biographies of portfolio managers and details on the firm's philosophy. At the end of the month it will launch a Web site for its no-load mutual funds.
Joseph L. Brotherton has won the Goldberg Award for Outstanding Achievement and Service to the Professions of Law and Accounting from the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants. He practices as a lawyer and a CPA in Seattle, specializing in business acquisitions and real estate transactions. Brotherton is also president of the national Attorney-CPA Foundation.
