The Dykeman Architects

The Dykeman Architects in Everett has promoted three employees. Timothy Twietmeyer and Timothy Jewett are associate principals. Kelli Smith has been promoted to associate.

Both Twietmeyer and Smith have been with the firm since 1988. Jewett joined the firm in 1988, left to pursue a master's degree in architecture and returned in 1997.

Richard Jordison Jr. has joined Dykeman as a project manager and senior architect. His special skills include 3-D computer modeling, presentation and conceptual design.

Mark Walker has joined the firm as information technology manager. He owned his own computer network company prior to joining Dykeman.

Other new employees include J.B. Bunting, Sam Castro, Rachel Dunham, Jennifer Irvin, Christopher King, Yuan Lee, Brian Sperber, Amy Thompson and Lara Wilson.

Glumac International

Glumac International has promoted mechanical associate Rem Wilson to associate principal. Wilson, a senior project manager, joined Glumac in 1989. His current projects include tenant improvements at the Federal Reserve Bank's Portland offices, the CNF Transportation corporate headquarters, the new Multnomah County Corrections Facility and the Fourth Avenue Development Center for the city of Portland.

The firm also named Mark Engdall as an associate. His current projects include MCIWorldCom network information centers in Salt Lake City and Denver and the Multnomah County Jail.

Robert Schroeder, a mechanical engineer, has joined Glumac. He is working on the Brewery Blocks, a 1 million-square-foot mixed-use commercial development in Portland, as well as projects at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande and the Stanford University Medical School.

Scott Vollmoeller has been promoted to associate. He joined the firm in 1998. His current work include the Brewery Blocks project, the CNF headquarters and several projects at the Portland Providence Medical Center.

Steffen Brocks has also been named as associate. He is working on Nike's World Campus conference center.

Glumac International is a mechanical and electrical engineering firm with offices in Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Sacramento and Irvine, Calif.

INCA Engineers

Ron Perrone has recently joined the Tacoma office of INCA Engineers as a senior project manager. His recent experience includes the South Sound Commuter Rail from Seattle to Tacoma; the North Intermodal Yard for the Port of Tacoma; and extensive work for Burlington Northern/Sante Fe Railroad.

Phil O'Dell has recently joined the Bellevue office of INCA Engineers as the federal services manager. He will be responsible for quality control on all of the firm's federal work. Prior to joining INCA, he was chief of the engineering and construction division for the Seattle District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Systems Interface

Systems Interface, which is opening a branch office in Portland, has promoted Cliff Cammert to the position of Oregon regional sales manager. He joined Systems Interface in 1998. He has worked for Baldor Motors and Drives and Starbucks Coffee Company.

Pope Resources

Gary Tucker, president and CEO of Pope Resources and its subsidiary, Olympic Resource Management, a Poulsbo-based timberland management company, announced his decision to resume his retirement effective immediately. Tucker joined Pope Resources as president and CEO in January 1996. Prior to that he headed Trees, Inc., which directed all operations of the Hancock Timber Resource Group. Tucker also served as vice president of resource management for Plum Creek Timber Company, in Seattle, where he was responsible for forest management of 1.5 million acres of timberland in the Pacific Northwest.

Aventail Corp.

Aventail Corp., a Seattle-based provider of Internet-based business partner networks, announced that Christopher Roling has joined Aventail as chief financial officer. Roling brings more than 18 years of experience including as CFO of Getty Images, Inc., and senior financial positions at Kellogg Company, R.J. Reynolds International, and PepsiCo International. He will be responsible for Aventail's overall financial objectives and managing the company's financial, administrative and legal activities.

TeamOn.com

TeamOn.com, a Seattle-based provider of a suite of Web-based e-mail and communications tools specifically designed for the needs of growing small businesses, announced that Rowland Hanson, former Microsoft vice president of corporate communications, has joined its board of advisors. Hanson has extensive experience in brand development, advertising and communications. At Microsoft, Hanson was responsible for the software leader's original branding strategy, including the naming and launch of Windows. Hanson is the founder of C.R.H. & Associates, a strategic counsel provider to clients that range from Fortune 500 companies to new ventures and e-commerce. He also sits on the board of directors of several emerging companies including Webforia, and on several advisory boards, including Onvia.com, Internet Capital Group and IncubASIA.

Safeco

Safeco, a Seattle-based diversified financial services company, announced the following promotions: Leslie Brandli and Troy Olson-Blair were appointed vice presidents of Safeco's life insurance companies., David Longhurst was appointed vice president, controller, secretary and treasurer for the company's investment management companies, Bridget Burgess is vice president of investment services, Lydia Flora and Bob Gooderl are assistant vice presidents of the life insurance companies, Colleen Murphy is assistant controller for the life insurance companies, Mike James is assistant secretary for the life insurance companies and Jon David Parker is associate actuary
