Marketfitz, a Seattle-based marketing services company, announced three additions to its management team. Ruth Friedman joins the company as a relationship manager and will work with high-tech clients to assess their marketing needs. Erin Baebler is a new talent manager and will manage the company's marketing, research and business development associates. Eric Nielsen is an information technology manager and will manage the company's technology infrastructure.
Graham & Dunn, a Seattle-based multi-practice law firm, announced the addition of four attorneys. James Simon joins as a shareholder and a member of the labor and employment team. Randall Moeller joins as of counsel and a member of the intellectual property team. Michael Raskasky and Michael Williams both join the firm as associates. Raskasky will work with the banking and finacial institutions team and Williams will work in the technology ventures and e-commerce team.
Washington State Treasurer Michael Murphy signed a contract with Bank of America to provide the state's principal banking and cash management services. The contract calls for the bank to process cash flows of more than $230 billion annually. Bank of America has held the contract for the past four years. The new contract is a five-year contract that begins July 1.
Valley Bank celebrated the opening of its new facility at 10th and D Street in Auburn with a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 8. The bank originally opened in Auburn 18 months ago in a store-front location. A public grand opening celebration will be held June 21-23
Everett's American Construction Co. has appointed Roger Smith as manager of its Land Division. Smith is a registered professional engineer with 12 years of experience in pile foundation and structures construction. He will be responsible for the company's foundation piling and shoring work. Also, based on his bridge construction experience, the division is expected to branch out into structures work. American has been in business over 90 years. It specializes in marine construction, dredging, crane service, pile driving, shoring and structures.
Strand Hunt Construction has promoted Michael Lembke to executive vice president and appointed Mark Mickelson as vice president/director of marketing. Lembke has been with the company for 10 years, and has 30 years of industry experience. In his new position, Lembke is directly responsible for the quality and timeliness of all company services, contracts and projects. Mickelson has extensive experience as a senior project manager with primary experience in healthcare, institutional, governmental and education construction projects.
The Seattle office of DPR Construction has made several personnel changes, including the hiring of Scott Usselman as a MEP coordinator and Bruce Remmen as a senior field leader. The contractor also promoted four employees: Jim Bynon to superintendent, T.J. Modica and Jody Elsom to project managers, and Roger Capestany to project engineer. Usselman previously worked for M.A. Mortenson for six years and Remmen worked at Mortenson for 26 years.
HCI Steel Building Systems, a manufacturer and designer of pre-engineered building systems, has promoted Chick Crane as its regional sales manager for steel component sales. Crane has been with HCI for 11 years in several key positions. The component division is currently expanding its product offering with several million dollars worth of new equipment for the Arlington plant.
Pacific Coast Restaurants of Portland has hired Gregg Adams as its new director of construction and maintenance. Adams served as president of Adams Construction of Gresham, Ore., for 30 years. His new responsibilities include the day-to-day upkeep of existing restaurants and overseeing new construction projects. Pacific Coast Restaurants operates Stanford's and Newport Bay restaurants in the Seattle area.
Seattle-based Stoneway Roofing Supply has signed a letter of intent to buy Homestead Roofing Supply of Clackamas, Ore. The deal is expected to close July 1. The acquisition of Homestead will be 76-year-old Stoneway's first location outside the Seattle metropolitan area. Homestead has been in business for 10 years.
Kestrel, a Bellevue reprographics shop, is changing its name to Ford Graphics on June 30. The change stems from a consolidation of reprographics companies over the past three years with American Reprographics Co. Current management and staff will remain in place.
