Gary Greenberg, general sales manager for STAR 101.5 (KPLZ-FM) has been promoted to the newly created position of director of sales for Fisher Radio Seattle. Greenberg will oversee all sales and advertising activity for Fisher's Seattle group of radio stations and handle all national business on behalf of the three stations: KOMO Newstalk 1000, STAR 101.5 and 570 KVI. Fisher Radio also announced the promotion of Andre Riley from national sales manager to general sales manager of STAR 101.5, filing the position vacated by Greenberg.
FlightSafety Boeing Training International, a provider of airline training, has appointed Nina Oddo as director of human resources at company headquarters in Seattle. Oddo will be responsible for leading the corporate human resources team operation at all FSB U.S. and overseas locations. She was previously the manager of compensation and benefits. Prior to joining FSB in 1999, Oddo was the manager of human resources for a multi-state high-tech company headquartered in Houston.
Barry MacKechnie has been promoted to vice president of sales at Best Consulting, a Kirkland-based consulting agency. MacKechnie has more than 30 of experience in integrating technology with business strategies. He has served as an advisor on technology and business strategies to the board of directors, CEOs and CFOs of over 100 companies. He joined Best in 1999, was promoted Seattle Region manager in February.
MedManage Systems, a Bothell-based innovator in alternative prescription sample management, announced the appointment of Curtis Buck as vice president, business development. Buck will target e-health companies, e-Pharma initiatives, large managed care plans and Independent Physician Associations as part of MedManage's partnership strategy. He spent 12 years with Evergreen Pharmaceutical as senior vice president of sales & marketing
Bellevue's S.D. Deacon recently made a couple of management changes. Chris Brown, formerly with Lugo Construction, has joined the company as operations manager, and Tim Rizzo, a CPA previously with Graham Contracting, has taken the position of accounting manager. Brown has over 20 years of varied construction and managerial experience. Rizzo has 10 years of accounting experience and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Central Washington University.
Remco Services of Bellevue has added Scott Jacky as an estimator and project manager and Don Lauren as a superintendent. Jacky formerly worked at ABKJ as a structural engineer. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Washington State University and is a licensed professional engineer in Washington and California. His new role includes heading up Remco’s estimating department for large building remediations. Lauren has 18 years of construction experience, most recently with Spee West Construction. He is working on the Ballard Manor project.

Craig Hendrickson has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer at Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, effective Jan. 27, 2001. Hendrickson is currently COO at Swedish Medical Center -- Providence Campus. He will oversee operations of the hospital and its outpatient services. He brings more than 25 years of experience in hospital operations and has a proven record in business development, strategic planning and organizational operations.
The University of Washington's School of Drama announced that faculty member Jon Jory will be inducted to New York's Theater Hall of Fame. Jory, who already counts among his accolades a Tony Award, is only the third regional theatre artist to be inducted. He will be joined by eight other inductees, including Liza Minelli and Al Pacino, in a ceremony at the Gershwin Theatre in New York City on Jan. 29, 2001.
