Victor Moreland has been appointed to the newly created position of director of community affairs for the Seattle Art Museum. Moreland, who has spent the past 11 years in human resource positions with the Seattle Public Schools, will guide the museum's efforts to deepen community involvement.
Seattle law firm Wolfstone, Panchot & Bloch has named Howard Hall a shareholder in the firm. Hall's practice will continue to emphasize representation of individuals, companies and nonprofit organizations in defense of toxic tort, products liability and employment cases on a local and regional basis.
Entomo, a Bellevue-based supplier of Online Supplier Relationship Management products, named Laurence Seifert to its board of directors. Seifert is the executive vice president of AT&T Wireless and chief operating officer of its new Fixed Wireless Service unit.
Chuck Hirsch, managing director of Madrona Venture Group, has been elected to the board of directors of WRF Capital, the Seattle-based venture investment arm of Washington Research Foundation. Hirsch was co-founder and president of Dare-to-Dream Intertainment, which merged into Microsoft in 1995. He serves on the executive committee of the Washington State Alliance of Angels and the board of trustees of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
The law firm of Perkins Coie announced that S.H. Gregory Overstreet has joined the firm's Olympia office as of counsel. Overstreet's practice will emphasize assisting industry trade associations and businesses with land use matters and issues related to administrative and regulatory law
^NewsBriefs:The Seattle district office of PCL Construction Services has hired Thomas Stevens as manager of special projects, Rolle Walker as director of business development and Scott Hale as a project engineer. Stevens has over 18 years of experience as a developer, project manager and estimator. He was previously part of the special projects operation of another local general contractor. Walker brings over 20 years of experience to his position, including his most recent role as president of Aon Risk Services in Seattle. Prior to that, he was an investment banker with a Wall Street firm, arranging financing for large construction projects. He has also been an instructor in ethics and management for the University of Colorado Graduate School of Public Affairs. Hale's experience totals seven years

QBeo, a North Bend-based innovator of imaging technology and interactive television services, announced the launch of a new Web site, QBeo.TV. In addition, QBeo recently introduced My Photo Gallery, an interactive television service that lets broadband subscribers store digital photos in albums, edit images, share slide shows and order prints.
Preston Gates & Ellis has added to attorney to its Seattle law offices. John Groh joins the firm's design and construction group. He has more than 20 years of experience representing municipalities, school districts, park authorities and transit districts in all aspects of design and construction. Carter Mackley joins the firm as an associate attorney. Mackley's practice emphasizes corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions
Pacific Utility has named Lee Jacobson as executive vice president. Lee’s previous experience includes serving as chief financial officer for a $260 million company.
Pacific Utility Equipment has been in business since 1967. It is a supplier of specialized truck equipment to electric and telephone utilities, CATV companies and to cities, counties and other government entities and contractors that serve all of these markets.
The company maintains it used equipment division in Tacoma and stocks a wide array of utility as well as municipal equipment.
Rosco Manufacturing Co. has promoted Derek Williams to the position of sales and support manager. Originally joining Rosco in 1984 as the MIS coordinator, Williams has held many positions during his 16 years with the company.
He will be responsible for the management of inside sales and parts and service departments in Madison, S.D. He will also continue to serve as the regional sales manager for dealers in Iowa, North and South Dakota, Nebraska and most of Montana. He will serve the Canadian provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
Jack Miller became the new owner of Rockman LLC. Rockman is a Lake Stevens-based company specializing in the brokering of trucks, aggregate and export for Puget Sound contractors. Miller brings with him a group of experienced professionals. Dave Lemmert, sales manager, joined Rockman in Sept. 2000 with nine years of experience with CSR Associated, Hos Bros. and Nelson Bros. April Bettinger, credit/office manager, came on board in Dec. 1997 with 13 years experience with Cadman and CSR Associated. Bob Moon, controller has been with Rockman since Dec.1997, bringing with him over 45 years experience in the mining industry
