Portland electrical contractor Oregon Electric Construction has been bought by North Dakota-based MDU Resources Group, according to a report in the Portland Daily Journal of Commerce. Oregon Electric was established in 1947 and incorporated in 1958. It has grown to 660 employees, and had $130 million in revenue last year. No staff changes are anticipated at Oregon Electric. MDU owns several other Portland-area construction companies, as well as electric and natural gas utilities and other related businesses across the country. MDU's revenues last year were $1.87 billion.
McAdams Wright Ragen has appointed Tim Bueneman managing director of institutional sales. He was most recently senior vice president at Pacific Crest Securities.
Kimberly Dunn and Dan Russell are new agents for Country Insurance & Financial Services. Russell’s office is located in Everett and Dunn’s is in Vancouver.

Robert Franza, M.D. joined Stratos Product Development advisory board. He is the founder and director of the cell systems initiative at the University of Washington School of Medicine and has been involved in biomedicine for more than 25 years. The Stratos advisory board is designed to bring objective experience and insight from influencers in key industries to its internal product development team as well as companies it incubates.
Daniel Griesemer is the new vice president of retail at Coldwater Creek. In the past, Griesmer has held key positions with Gap, Gap Kids and Federated Department Stores. The Sandpoint, Idaho, retailer plans to add 19 stores by the end of this year with plans for a total of 80 new stores in 29 states over the next two years.
Bastyr University has appointed Douglas C. Lewis, ND chairman of the physical medicine department. Lewis has been in private practice specializing in physical medicine and has served Bastyr in both teaching and supervising since graduating there in 1987.
Terri Pehrson is senior vice president and Puget Sound region manager for Pacific Northwest Bancorp. She will be responsible for operation of the bank's financial centers in King, Kitsap, Pierce, Thurston, Lewis and south Snohomish counties
