McAdams Wright Ragen

McAdams Wright Ragen has appointed Tim Bueneman managing director of institutional sales. He was most recently senior vice president at Pacific Crest Securities.

Country Insurance & Financial

Kimberly Dunn and Dan Russell are new agents for Country Insurance & Financial Services. Russell's office is located in Everett and Dunn's is in Vancouver.

Clark Nuber

Shareholders at Clark Nuber made the following promotions: Jane Searing to senior manager; Candi Carino, Kristen Eide and Lynn Marth to senior; and Siri McLean to administrative.

Moss Adams

David Follett, Michael Hall, Carleen Snyder, and E. Todd Van der Wel have been named new partners with the Seattle office of Moss Adams. Moss Adams, headquartered in Seattle, is the 12th largest accounting and consulting firm in the U.S.

Franciscan Health System

Syd Bersante is the new chief operating officer at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way. He previously served in the same position at St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood where Brooks Sutton is new chief operating officer. Sutton served most recently as vice president of clinical and administrative services for Franciscan Health System. Both hospitals are operated by Franciscan Health Systems of Tacoma.

American Association of Port Authorities

This year's American Association of Port Authorities award winners included the ports of Everett and Portland. The Port of Portland's marine tenant program received the communications competition award for overall excellence in community and public involvement. The Port of Everett was honored with an environmental mitigation award for its Union Slough Saltmarsh project.

Rocket Records

Rocket Records opened recently in Maple Valley. The store is located in the Lake Wilderness Village mall.

Cascade Software Consulting

Cascade Software Consulting added Rodney Ridl to its executive staff. Ridl recently served as an executive with Oracle Consulting Services. He will work to enhance the service level of the company’s local clients.

Residential Funding

Residential Funding Corp. has purchased the assets of FCC HealthCapitalGroup of Portland. RFC plans to retain all FCC associates and continue its operations in Portland. Dale Papworth, chief executive officer of FCC, will remain with the new organization. FCC is a specialty commercial finance company that offers lines of credit within the health care industry. RFC's business capital group provides unregulated capital to U.S. residential developers and home builders.

City of Seattle

The city of Seattle has launched a new Web portal page on its Web site to help people connect with the right volunteer program. Developed by the city's central Web team, the site brings together dozens of volunteer program links from virtually every city department or group, organized by areas of interest. The site also provides links to the many public councils and advisory boards sponsored by the city. The Web site can be found at http://www.cityofseattle.net/html/citizen/volunteer.htm.

B&B Print Source

Mike Stevenson of B&B Print Source, Tigard, Ore., received this year's Pacific Printing & Imaging Association's Ben Franklin Award. Stevenson's acquired B&B in 1986 with five employees and currently employs over 43.

Western Institutional Review Board

Cynthia M. McGuire Dunn, M.D. is the new vice president of operations of the Western Institutional Review Board. She was director for the Clinical Research Institute at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, N. Y. The Western Institutional Review Board is an independent review board dedicated to the protection of human research subjects.

NAIOP

The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, a broker and developer group, will hear from Gary Carpenter, Roger Anderson and Jim Jonassen about the next designs in office workplaces at NAIOP's next monthly breakfast gathering. The Wednesday, Oct. 17, event will begin at 7 a.m. at the Bellevue Club, southeast of downtown Bellevue. Carpenter works as chief operating officer for developer Bentall Corp. Anderson is president of GLY Construction. Jonassen is CEO of the NBBJ architecture firm. Mike Flynn, publisher of the Puget Sound Business Journal, will serve as moderator. The event's title is "Focus on the Future: A discussion on key issues affecting development, design and construction of future workplaces in the Puget Sound region." Windermere

Mimi Miller became a sales associate in Windermere Real Estate's Wedgwood office. She previously worked as recruiter and director of communications for eAttorney in Atlanta. Wendy Ulman, meanwhile, became a sales associate in the agency's Queen Anne office. She previously worked as a senior consultant with Northern Consulting.

USDA Rural Development

Robert L. Lund has become director of multi-family housing in Washington for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development program. Working out of Puyallup, Lund oversees loan processing and servicing throughout the state. Lund came from 28 years with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in multifamily development and servicing. Lund received a presidential medal for serving on the Y2K Task Force. He's a CPA with a BA in business administration from Central Washington University.

Liebsohn & Co.

Harold Lefrandt was promoted to vice president in retail leasing at the Bellevue-based brokerage of Liebsohn & Co.

Keller Williams

Keller Williams Realty of Austin, Texas, opened a branch office in University Place, next to Tacoma. Keller Williams hired a team of six agents from a competing firm to staff the office: Katina Toscas-Atz, George Atz, John Lenz, Careene Price, Mary Ann Kirk and Deborah Yates. The branch is an affiliate of Keller Williams Realty-West Sound of Gig Harbor.
