Office of the Governor

John Bley, director of the state's Department of Financial Institutions, has submitted his resignation to Gov. Locke. The governor praised Bley for his management of the agency and 14 years of service to the state. The effective date of his resignation has not yet been set.

Leonhardt:Fitch

The Leonhardt Group of Seattle will do business under its new name of Leonhardt:Fitch. The name reflects consolidation of nine branding and design firms run by Cordiant Communications Group under the name of Fitch:Worldwide. Leonhardt became part of Cordiant Communications in 1999.

Integrex

Integrex hired Mark Johnson as vice president of operations and Bruce Miller, as director of materials and logistics. Johnson was with Flextronics International and Miller was with Manufacturing Services Limited. Integrex, based in Bothell, is an advanced electronics manufacturing services company providing integrated, value-added electronic manufacturing services to technology companies.

ZymoGenetics

ZymoGenetics appointed Robert S. Whitehead to a new position of senior vice president, chief business officer. He will also be a member of the executive management committee. Whitehead most recently served as president, Americas at Elan Biopharmaceuticals. ZymoGenetics is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of protein therapeutics for the prevention or treatment of human diseases.

Kinesis

Jon Mittmann has joined the advisory board of Kinesis. Mittmann is currently customer relationship management practice manager for Ramp Technology and was previously director of member services for HomeGrocer.com. The board includes representatives from Nordstrom, Wells Fargo, Expedia, Onvia and E.piphany. Seattle-based Kinesis helps corporations create competitive advantages through profitable service strategies.

Seattle Police Department

Gina Santo Domingo is the new public affairs specialist for the Seattle Police Department. Domingo has 16 years experience serving the city of Seattle including the last four years as deputy communications director to Mayor Paul Schell. Prior to that she served as a public affairs specialist with Seattle City Light.

Steven A. Lentini joined the Spokane office of Casne Engineering as a senior electrical engineer. He comes to Casne with experience in medium and low voltage power distribution, PLC control systems, instrumentation and safety systems. Lentini has extensive field experience with Northwest Alloys, Kaisers Trentwood Works and Potlatch’s Consumer Products Division.

Brumbaugh & Associates, a Seattle landscape architecture firm, recently promoted William ‘Corky’ Brown to principal. Brown has been with the firm for 12 years, managing a variety of office, industrial, retail and multi-family projects. He is currently working on the Microsoft St. Andrews office development, Boeing Pacific Gateway Business Park and Opus Northpointe.

Triad Associates, Kirkland-based land development consulting firm, announces the following new hires: Colin Lund has been promoted from director of planning to vice president and project manager. Lund has been with Triad for 10 years. He had a key role in creating the master plan and development agreement for Talus, a master planned community on 620 acres in Issaquah. He now manages the Clover Valley master plan project, a residential community on 650 acres in Rockland, Calif.

George Newman has been named director of planning. He has 20 years experience in planning and land development review and most recently served as the land use division manager for Snohomish County, overseeing subdivision and land use approval processes. He also implemented regulatory reforms and played a leading role in land use appeals. Newman leads Triad's planning team on feasibility studies, master planning, site planning, GIS, public hearing representation and permit process management. Other new hires are: Amy Shivers, survey CAD technician, Mary Moore,engineering CAD technician and Steven Kincaide, GIS Technician.

Kevin J. Reynolds, a licensed marine engineer with both vessel operations and construction experience, has joined Glosten Associates, a Seattle-based consulting engineering firm serving the marine industry.

Reynolds will participate in a variety of marine design projects. He is underway on the detail design of a barge vapor recovery system, and is participating in a study to define solutions for off-loading ballast water due to environmental concerns.

MulvannyG2 Architecture recently named David Glassman, Rodd Kippen and Darren Pollard principals.

Glassman is one of several principals-in-charge of the firm's major commercial projects. His MulvannyG2 experience includes Rowley's 12th and Maple industrial/office project in Issaquah, Costco's Building No. 3 in Issaquah and Fritz Distribution Center in Auburn. He has 20 years of architecture experience. Kippen is in charge of the firm's estimating department. He joined the firm in 1999 as a senior estimator before being promoted to director of estimating later that year. He has 23 years of construction and architecture experience.

Pollard is a member of the senior management team for the firm's largest account. He is the northern division real estate manager, overseeing design and development process of Costco projects throughout the U.S. and Canada. He joined MulvannyG2 in 1996 as an architectural technician
