DLR

DLR Group promoted the following to the associate level: Nina Cousins, civil engineer; Noah Greenberg, architect; Jeff Landstrom, construction administrator and facilities assessment specialist; architect Robert McClendon,; Shannon Soady, office manager; Kelley Tanner, marketing coordinator for the education studio; and Matt Virkler, marketing and public relations coordinator for the corporate and retail studios

Dykeman

Kierstin Moffat Misterek joined Dykeman as an interior design director. She will be leading Dykeman's expansion of both interior design services and workplace consulting services. She serves on the public relations committee of the International Interior Design Association and is a new member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. Dykeman has been in business for 35 years and has a staff of more than 30 interior designers, planners, architects and support staff.

Brown and Caldwell

Brown and Caldwell announced the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accreditation of Dawn Lesley, environmental engineer. Lesley uses her training in The Natural Step, LEED and other sustainability frameworks to assess project approaches for their long-term economic, environmental and social sustainability. Lesley is the LEED and environmental sustainability services manager for Brown and Caldwell's Northwest region.

Brown and Caldwell provides environmental planning, design and construction management for wastewater and water treatment, conveyance, surface water, water resources planning, air, solid waste, site investigations and remediation.

GGLO added two professionals to the firm: marketing managers, Michelle Rosenberger and Mark Wainwright. With more than 10 years experience in the A/E/C industry, Rosenberger works on business development strategies for the firm's Housing Studio. Wainwright, who manages the commercial and interior design studio, comes to GGLO with seven years of marketing and public relations experience.

McGranahan Architects

Joan Rumsey has joined McGranahan Architects as a project designer. Rumsey is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a master's of architecture. She is currently working on the Clover Park Technical College master plan update and Building 18 modernization.

Kris Stamon is new to McGranahan Architects as a project designer, A graduate of the University of Oregon, Stamon holds a bachelor's of architecture degree and has five years design experience. He is currently working on the University of Washington Tacoma Phase 2B project.

OCLC Western Service Center

OCLC, a nonprofit membership organization serving 41,000 libraries in 82 countries and territories, recently dedicated its new Digital & Preservation Resources Center in Lacey. The center will digitize and preserve library collections in the western United States. The new center is part of OCLC's Western Service Center which also has an office in Ontario, Calif.

D.A. Davidson & Co.

D.A. Davidson & Co. added Rigel Management to its list of outside investment managers. D.A. Davidson's financial consultants will use Rigel as a source for large cap growth equity management. D.A. Davidson, founded in 1935, offers financial consultant services from 34 offices in seven western states, including Washington.

Cornish College of the Arts

Cornish College will host four concerts as a joint presentation in this year's Earshot Jazz Festival and the Cornish College Music Series. The concerts, scheduled for Oct. 28 through Nov. 7, will feature the Tin Hat Trio, Open Loose, a Jazz Composers' Collective tribute to Herbie Nichols and Art Lande. Twice Sold Tales

Twice Sold Tales moved its University District store to the corner of University Avenue and Northeast 45th Street. The 2,400-square-foot storefront was vacated by Porter & Jensen Jewelers last April. Twice Sold Tales has two other locations on Capitol Hill and in Fremont. The three locations are separately owned, but share marketing strategy and inventory.

Citizens Committee on Pipeline Safety

Gov. Locke appointed seven new members to the 13-member Citizens Committee on Pipeline Safety. The committee was established by the state Legislature in 2000 and advises federal and local agencies on construction, operation, maintenance and routing of hazardous liquid and natural-gas pipelines in Washington. The new members appointed are: Richard Kuprewicz, Sheila Fay Helgath, Kenneth Thomas, Patricia Bahor, George Hills, Shirley Olsen and Haywood Johnson
