Paul Rogness, a DCI project engineer since 1999, recently earned his P.E. certification from the state. With four years of experience, he has worked on many projects including the 5th & Jackson Building, the 428 Westlake Building and the Bremerton Government Center. Rogness is a member of SEAW.

Delansig

W.A. Botting Co. announced an expansion of its HVAC and plumbing design-build departments. Steve Amann recently joined W.A. Botting Co. as manager of the design-build group. Amann's current projects include 1020 Tower in Bellevue and Wenatchee Valley Medical Center.

Tim Burns joins the design-build team as manager of design-build engineering services. Burns has 25 years experience with design-build projects and is a registered engineer in 24 states.

Joining Burns is Rey Delansig. With 20 years experience in mechanical consulting, Delansig's role in the group is project engineer. Current projects for the engineering services group include Jackson Park Youth Center, Rainier Orthopedic Institute, First & Clay Condominiums, 1020 Tower and multiple Bank of America branches.

Parametrix

Miles

Keri Miles of Parametrix in Kirkland received the designation of Certified Professional Services Marketer in August. She is one of approximately 300 practitioners throughout the United States to be certified by the Society for Marketing Professional Services.

Keri has over 10 years experience in the A/E industry and is responsible for corporate business development and marketing strategies at Parametrix, which has over 450 employees in offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, New Mexico and Colorado.

Kimpton Hotel Group

The Kimpton Hotel Group, a San Francisco-based company that currently operates 38 hotels and 34 restaurants across North America, promoted Dave Ruehlmann to regional vice president. Ruehlmann was regional director of operations for Kimpton Boutique Hotels. In his new position, he will be responsible for the daily operations of 11 hotels located throughout the Pacific Northwest, Colorado and Utah. Before joining Kimpton, Ruehlmann was vice president of operations for Promus Hotels.

University of Washington

Dr. James D. Johnson, retired U.S. Navy captain, has been appointed chair of the department of endodontics and program director for the Advanced Specialty Education Program in endodontics at the University of Washington. Johnson is the former research department chair at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Md.

Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson

Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson, a Seattle-based law firm, hired Esther C. Bartfeld as an associate. Bartfeld is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law. Prior to joining Hillis, she was an associate with Davis Wright & Tremaine, where her practice emphasized litigation matters.

South Snohomish County Chamber

The South Snohomish County Chamber of Commerce named Barbara Earl, co-owner and founder of BETS associates, 2003 recipient of the John M. Fluke, Sr. Community Service Award. Established in 1970, the award honors an individual who has made a significant contribution to the community and is a member in good standing of the chamber. Allstate Exclusive Agent Rodney Jones opened a new office, Valley Insurance, at 23745 225th Way S.E. in Maple Valley. Allstate, an insurance provider, serves over 16 million households throughout the U.S. and Canada. Jones, who joined Allstate in February, has over 16 years of military experience.
