Tim Kennedy has been named to chair the nonprofit Workforce Development Council, replacing the Port of Seattle's chief executive officer Mic Dinsmore, who will reamin on the board. Richard Berkowitz of the Transportation Institute was named vice chair and Terry Pickering of Viking Bank secretary/treasurer. Kennedy and Berkowitz are founders of the board. The private nonprofit oversees employment programs in King County.

WhiteTie

Seattle-based WhiteTie added Jessica Brown to work with members and corporate partners on event management and promotions. Brown was a communications assistant at Entergy Corp. in New Orleans. WhiteTie's partners are hotels, resorts, retail outlets and professional sports teams.

Tendrils

Tendrils Restaurant in Quincy named Fernando Divina executive chef and general manager. Tendrils is in the Cave B Inn at SageCliffe, a winery resort near the Gorge Amphitheater. Divina opened Casa U-Betcha New World Restaurants in Portland and was part of a team to design the menus at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of the American Indian. Sherrye Wyatt is Cave B Inn's director of marketing and Shaun Tucker is the innkeeper. Tucker directed food and beverage at Willows Lodge in Woodinville.

Bob Beebe has joined Bellevue's Foushee and Associates as a project manager. Beebe has 23 years of construction experience, including build-to-suits, office, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, business parks, renovations and tenant improvements

Crowley Maritime Corp. recently gave two of its directors leadership awards: Eric Evans and Arthur La Moureaux. Evans is based in Seattle and directs finance for the company's energy and marine services group. Jacksonville, Fla.-based La Moureaux oversees internal audit and has been with the company for 15 years.

Epicenter

This month former Seahawk Sam Adams and business partner Merle Gregg will open their second fitness center, The Epicenter-Bellevue in Bellevue Place. The space will be reconfigured for a heated yoga studio, a kickboxing studio, a circuit training room and a 25-meter lap pool. A 5,100-square-foot expansion will make space for a weight room. Adams and Gregg opened the Epicenter in Seattle earlier this year.

Clipper Navigation

Seattle-based Clipper Navigation named Laura Henigson account manager for the group sales department. Bill Holland joined the company's Web services department. He has seven years of experience developing Web sites. Clipper operates the Victoria Clipper service, which runs ferries between Seattle and Victoria, B.C

Seattle-based foster care foundation Casey Family Programs promoted Chiemi Davis and added Benjamin de Haan. Davis joined Casey Family 10 years ago as a social work supervisor and will now direct a team working to improve the child welfare practice. De Haan directed a research institute on criminal justice policy at Portland State University and will run Casey Family's state strategy program.

Reliant Behavioral Health

A group of management staff working at Reliant Behavioral Health recently bought the company, which is based in Portland and provides health care and employee services. Thomas Foster is president and medical director. Senior vice presidents are Mark Lenetsky, Brian Enos and Larry Johnson. Reliant was owned by a Eugene, Ore.-based psychiatric group, Northwest Mental Health Associates. No changes in operations are expected.

Pilchuck Glass School

Seattle-based Pilchuck Glass School picked Katherine Cardinal to be its development director. She was Pacific Northwest Ballet's associate director of development. At Pilchuck, she succeeds Paulette Bufano, who retired last year
