Seattle firm Andersen Bjornstad Kane Jacobs added Nick Shrope as a civil engineer for roadway and drainage design. His projects will include a street widening project for Snohomish County and replacement of Mount Si Bridge for King County. ABKJ is a civil and structural engineering firm.

HWA GeoSciences added John Schwartz to manage its certified materials testing laboratory. Schwartz has 20 years of experience in testing soil, rock and water. Jeff Speck recently joined as an environmental geologist to sample groundwater, soil and sediment. HWA GeoSciences specializes in geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology and construction inspection.

Hart Crowser announced geochemist Mike Ehlebracht has rejoined the firm's Seattle office. He will do environmental forensic evaluations to support insurance and cost recovery negotiations, and help the real estate and legal communities with due diligence evaluations. He worked on redevelopment of brownfield sites such as the Seattle Art Museum Sculpture Park and the Northwest Maritime Center in Port Townsend.

Bellevue's DCI Engineers added Debbie Wick as a senior project manager in its civil division, Jeff Brink as a structural project manager, and structural project engineers Brian Eng, Daniel Yeager and Adam Christopulos. Wick is managing the company's work on a new Marriott Residence Inn in Bellevue and the Fairview Research Center in Seattle. Brink is working on State Street Condos in Kirkland and Point Edwards Condominiums in Edmonds. Eng recently graduated with a master's in civil engineering from the University of Washington and is working on two Bellevue projects: Washington Square and Michael's Toyota. Yeager has a bachelor's in architectural engineering from the University of Wyoming and is working on the Tulalip Casino Hotel in Marysville. Christopulos recently earned a master's in structural engineering from the University of Washington and is working on the Totem Lake Marriott Hotel in Kirkland. DCI Engineers provides civil and structural engineering services.

LMN Architects

LMN Architects recently promoted Brian Tennyson to principal, and made Randal Bennett, Mette Greenshields and Rob Curran associates. Tennyson has 14 years of experience on convention centers and performing arts facilities. Bennett has worked on an interim remodel of the Seattle Ferry Terminal for Washington State Ferries, and on urban regeneration and mixed-use projects in Europe. Curran and Greenshields have been with the company for seven years, working on higher education projects. Seattle-based LMN Architects provides planning and design services.

Microvision

Bothell-based Microvision named Alex Tokman president and chief operating officer. Tokman was general manager of a unit of GE Healthcare. Steve Willey was Microvision's president for three years and will now oversee consumer solutions. Microvision develops scanned beam displays and imaging products.

Betts, Patterson & Mines

Steve Block, a partner with the Seattle law firm Betts, Patterson & Mines, was recently named president of the Association of Transportation Law Professionals, a trade organization with 600 laywers and other transportation professionals. Block has 19 years of litigation and business law experience, with a focus on transportation, customs and business matters.

Pacific Lutheran University

Stephen Cornils will be vice president for development and university relations at Pacific Lutheran University this fall. Jim Plourde was acting vice president and will continue as executive director of development. Pacific Lutheran University has plans to renovate historic Eastvold Hall and start fundraising for a new building to house radio station KPLU
