Lisa Balzotti catering sales manager and
Shawn Bounds corporate sales manager. Balzotti was the food and beverage coordinator at Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, a boutique resort in Paradise Valley, Ariz. Bounds was catering sales manager at the Edgewater Hotel.
Miller

Ron Miller has joined Seattle-based Bartell Drugs as senior vice president of merchandising. Miller will supervise promotions for the drugstore chain. He worked for Macy's Northwest for 20 years, starting as a department sales manager and most recently directed one part of the company's marketing.
Washington State University's Dennis Haarsager was recently elected to a three-year term on the board of directors of National Public Radio. He manages WSU's public television stations, and educational telecommunications and technology programs.

SERA named
Tim Smith and
Joseph C. Pinzone principals. Smith will direct urban design and planning. He is creating a master plan for a campus in Clackamas County and a sustainable watershed plan for Yellowhawk Corridor for Walla Walla. Pinzone will direct construction administration and staff development, and is working on renovations at the Portland Art Museum and the State of Oregon Justice Building in Salem.

Civil engineering and landscape architecture firm SvR Design Co. recently added
Melanie Davies as a senior landscape architect. Davies has more than 20 years of experience in site planning and design. She will work on a water quality project at Thornton Creek and street improvements.
Monica Lindmark was promoted to marketing coordinator, and will lead the Web site redesign. She has five years of experience with the company.
