Nancy S. Juetten Marketing

Hilary Whitman has joined Nancy S. Juetten Marketing as a writer and media relations specialist. Whitman edited special sections and did marketing for the King County Journal. The firm is a Bellevue-based public relations and marketing communications agency.

Madison Bay Holdings

Madison Bay Holdings, a Seattle-based manufacturer and distributor of recreational vehicles, powerboats and other leisure watercraft, has formed the Solar Tech Design Group as a new division. The group will provide in-house design and engineering services for the company and outside clients. Jeff Shaw, an experienced industrial designer and mechanical engineer, has been contracted to provide services to the group, which is planning new products, including a new line of powerboats.

Seattle Commission for Sexual Minorities

Mayor Greg Nickels is seeking candidates for a position on the Seattle Commission for Sexual Minorities. The commission advises the mayor and government groups on policies and legislation, giving insight on the concerns of sexual minorities. The unpaid position involves lobbying the state legislature. The Seattle-based architecture firm Place Architects added Mary Kohl and Scott Voelker. Kohl does interior retail and residential design. She ran her own company, Transformer, and designed the Vespa store in Belltown. Voelker, who is doing residential remodels, was with Northwest Architectural Co.

Kleinfelder

San Diego-based Kleinfelder added David Cotton to its Bellevue office as Seattle area manager. Cotton will oversee operations and business management in western Washington. Cotton has done geotechnical projects in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Alaska, Utah, Nevada, California, Arizona and Georgia. He was a principal at Golder Associates, where he managed business, sales and projects for the company's Northwest office. Kleinfelder does work for government agencies, multinational companies and industrial clients.

Seattle's Hargis Engineers added associates Vernon Enns, Ron Eliason and Erik Stearns. Terry Potvin and Paul Songe-Moller are mechanical project managers with design and construction administration expertise. Enns has done mechanical design and consulting for schools. Eliason will do mechanical consulting and manage projects, and Stearns will work on high tech, hospitality and higher education projects. Hargis is a mechanical, electrical and telecommunications engineering and consulting firm.

Skillings-Connolly

Skillings-Connolly promoted Alison Hepburn in its Lacey headquarters to environmental geologist. She was in marketing, but will now do field investigation and environmental documentation. Rachel Mehrtens was promoted to marketing coordinator. After 31 years with Washington State Department of Transportation as an ombudsman, Deb Gregory joined Skillings-Connolly as a senior administrative assistant. Engineer Kelly Harris has returned to Lacey from the Missoula, Mont., office. Harris has 15 years of experience in traffic engineering, roadway design and traffic operations and impact studies. Engineer-in-training Brandon Johnson will help developers with utility, water and stormwater projects. Stephen Lincoln, also a training engineer, will help local and state agencies with wastewater and transportation projects. Kerry Dudley joined as office administrator after four years in the Missoula, Mont., office. Michelle Rhodes is a project administrator. Rhodes has more than a decade of accounting experience. Lauren Behm is a marketing assistant. Shauna Kirk, Thomas Bieker and Chris Lowe are engineering technicians. John Henry is a college student and work/study engineering technology intern. Skillings-Connolly does engineering, environmental, real estate and surveying work. It is headquartered in Lacey.

Callison plans and designs retail, hospitality, mixed-use, health care, and corporate projects.
