S.D. Deacon Corp. of Washington

Tess Cavanaugh and Jessica Field have joined S.D. Deacon Corp. of Washington. Cavanaugh is the firm's receptionist. She holds a bachelor's degree in public relations from Washington State University, and previously worked at Nordstrom. Field is a project manager assistant. She recently worked with Fairway Development in Santa Maria, Calif.

McGregor Door & Hardware

Total Door Supply has changed its name to McGregor Door & Hardware in order to build a stronger relationship with its business partner, the McGregor Group. No changes have been made to ownership or management. The company's address, phone and fax numbers are the same, but e-mail address suffixes have changed to @mcgregor-door.com.

ABC of Western Washington

The Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington hired Lou Lavender as director of administration and finance. Lavender will handle all financial oversight, reporting directly to the president and board of directors. He has more than 15 years of experience, including work with other not-for-profit organizations.

Holaday-Parks

David Parks, president and general manager of Holaday-Parks, has been named 2006-07 president of the Western Washington chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association. He also was elected to the national board of directors. Also at Holaday-Parks, B.J. Giri was promoted to vice president, Michael McCoy to vice president, and Dale Stone to manager of the Building Automation System division. The firm added Scott Woehrman as project manager, Birendra Shrestha and Bill Loftstrom as project engineers, Shoke Wong and Marti Gallagher as CAD technicians, and Erin Villeneuve as administrative assistant.

Global Diving and Salvage

Global Diving and Salvage has hired Sarah Burroughs as manager of environmental contracts. Burroughs has been involved in the marine response community for over eight years. Global is a Seattle-based company that provides underwater services to the marine construction, shipping and hydropower industries.

The Frause Group

The Frause Group, a Seattle-based public relations, marketing and business analysis firm, hired Chelsey Garrett as an account coordinator. Garrett graduated from the University of Iowa and worked as an intern with The Frause Group last summer.

Fundraising Partners Northwest

Fundraising Partners Northwest, a Seattle-based firm specializing in development, corporate citizenship and special event counsel to nonprofit organizations, corporations and individuals, hired Sarah Bruemmer as a senior account manager. Bruemmer previously worked at Microsoft, coordinating events and projects.

Providence Hospice

Don Boshears, Ellen Moos and John Stirling have been named to the Foundation Community Board of Providence Hospice of Seattle. The Seattle foundation raises money to support the work of Providence Hospice.

Sparling

Sparling recently hired Greg Livengood as an associate and project manager of an electrical design studio that specializes in military and education projects. Livengood has 17 years of experience in the design of power, lighting, emergency, communication, fire alarm and security systems for Department of Defense, as well as commercial, higher education, hospitality and transportation work. Livengood will lead work on a 2300V power distribution replacement at Naval Base Kitsap, U.S. Coast Guard District 17 Building realignment, Westfield Shoppingtown Southcenter Mall expansion and First Hill SkyGarden Condominium Tower.

Parametrix

Diane Lenius was recently appointed a regional operations manager for Parametrix. She is vice president of operations for Region I, which includes offices in Bremerton, Lacey, Sumner and Bellevue. Lenius will oversee office operations on a regional level, and will lead client management and project pursuits. She will also continue to oversee the firm's leadership development program. Lenius is an engineer with a background in water/wastewater, transportation and civil engineering. Parametrix also appointed Mel Sears as vice president of operations for Region II which includes Oregon, Colorado and New Mexico.

BLRB Architects

BLRB Architects added three architects to its Tacoma office. Eric Lofgran's specialties include project development, from site design through construction administration as well as problem solving and negotiating skills. He will handle construction administration for Puyallup School District's new elementary schools No. 22 and No. 23. Randy Zaddach's project management experience includes leading projects in the education, commercial, municipal and health and fitness sectors. He is the project manager on the New School @ South Shore K-8 for Seattle Public Schools. Tamara Stinnette joins BLRB as a CAD designer. She is working on the new Bow Lake Elementary School for the Highline School District.

Transpo

The Transpo Group has added Kristin Craig to its Kirkland office. As a senior transportation engineer, Craig will focus on traffic operations and signal and roadway design. She has seven years experience in projects that include storm drainage, utilities design, environmental permitting, construction documents, construction support services and quality assurance.

The Berger Partnership

The Berger Partnership promoted Andy Mitton, Fred Jala, Jeanette Benton, Brent Chastain, Katie Bang and Jan Satterthwaite. Mitton, who was promoted to associate, has worked on Cascade Playground, WSU Library Road Phase 1 and 2 and is currently working on Roosevelt High School renovations, Jefferson Park expansion and the Seattle University Championship Field. Jala, Benton and Chastain were promoted to senior project managers. Jala has worked on Juanita Village, Bristol at Southport Courtyard, Redmond High School and Seattle University Student Center. He is currently working on the Northgate Commons and Interurban Exchange 4 and 5 in Seattle. Benton has managed projects such as IslandWood, Cal Anderson Park, Alderbrook Inn, Tumble Creek and 2201, a mixed-use project in South Lake Union. Chastain has worked on Suncadia Resort in Roslyn, and Nordstrom projects. Bang and Satterthwaite were promoted to associate project manager. Bang has worked on Cal Anderson Park, Salishan, Exchange 4 and 5, Issaquah Middle School, Roosevelt High School, Federal Way Community Center and residential projects. Satterthwaite has worked on Jefferson Park, Mercer Island Beach Club, Everett Golf & Country Club and Tumble Creek Resorts.

Rice Fergus Miller

Rice Fergus Miller Architecture & Planning has added two new staff members and promoted one. Interior designer and space planner Annette Clement will work on senior housing, health care and community projects. Diana Labrum, also new to the firm, has a 20-year background in accounting. Monica Blackwood, director of business operations, has been named an associate with the firm. She has been with the firm since 2001.
