The Seattle law firm of Garvey Schubert Barer said David W. Gee has re-joined the firm as of counsel. Gee practices in business law, labor and employment law, and mergers and acquisitions. He was a partner at the law firm of Bartel Droste & Gee.
RBC Dain Rauscher, a Minneapolis-based stock brokerage, has named Karl Leaverton president of the West division for the Private Client Group. Leaverton will oversee 63 branch offices in 14 states in the Northwest, West and South. Leaverton lives in Seattle.
Riddell Williams elected Karen Jones as managing principal. Jones replaces Pat McVey, head of the firm's Products Liability Group, who has served as managing principal since 2002.

The Seattle Gift Center added Lisa Goodman as marketing director and Julie Trott to its marketing team. Goodman was president and CEO at Service Intelligence in Seattle. Trott was territory manager for Gift Box Corp. of America in Seattle and managed the showroom at the gift center. The wholesale gift mart in Georgetown is owned and managed by The Benaroya Co.
Bellingham's American Museum of Radio and Electricity hired its first executive director, Frank Ordway, who has worked for national and international nonprofits. The museum focuses on the scientific exploration of electricity and the development of broadcast radio. It is working on a master plan to expand its current galleries and exhibits at 1312 Bay St.
The Seattle City Council confirmed Tim Kerr as a Seattle Monorail Board boardmember. He has more than 26 years of experience with government finance issues. Monorail staff and board members are interviewing several people to fill positions on the board.
PATH, an international nonprofit health organization based in Seattle, hired Scott Jackson, formerly a senior vice president with World Vision, as vice president for external relations. He will direct fundraising and communications.
Cortiva, a national massage school from New York, purchased the Seattle-based Brenneke School of Massage last fall and will be boosting marketing, faculty training and management expertise to expand the school, which was founded in 1974 by Heida Brenneke. The school is now housed in a recently renovated space in the South Lake Union neighborhood.
