Patrick Yalung has been named regional president for Wells Fargo's Community Banking in Washington. Yalung assumes the post held by James Prunty, who now leads Wells Fargo Community Banking in the Great Lakes Region. Yalung, a 23-year financial service veteran, joined Wells Fargo in 1983 and most recently served as the regional president for Wells Fargo in Greater Arizona.
The Seattle Chinese Garden said Evelyn P. Yenson has been appointed executive director. Yenson previously worked for three Washington state governors. Yenson has been a manager at the Seattle Department of Community Development and at Seattle Center. She served as director of the Washington Pavilion at EXPO 86, the Washington State Lottery and the Washington Department of Licensing. Most recently she was with MDI, a subsidiary of Scientific Games Corp. She succeeds Kathy Scanlan, who led the garden through the design phase to the start of construction last August. Construction on the $30 million, 4.6-acre garden started in August 2005.
Foster Pepper PLLC announced that associates Laura McClellan, Robert A. Perez, and Carllene M. Placide have been elected members of the firm. McClellan joined the firm as an associate in 2003. McClellan's practice is focused on real estate and real estate finance. Prior to joining Foster Pepper, McClellan was an associate with Thompson & Knight in Dallas. Perez's business practice focuses on venture capital investments, pension fund investments, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts and general business representation. Prior to joining Foster Pepper in 2003, Perez served as a corporate attorney for Internap Network Services Corp. and as an associate for Cooley Godward. Placide's employment practice focuses on international business, immigration matters, employment law, employment litigation and OSHA/WISHA matters. Prior to joining Foster Pepper in 2003, Placide served as an associate for Seattle firm Lane Powell Spears Lubersky.
Arlington-based HCI Steel Building Systems promoted Buzz Tompkins to shop superintendent and Anita Stuestall to head of shipping. The company also added Jerry Scott and Charles Cooksey to the estimating department; and Stacey Gunn returned after a brief absence to work in research-and-development and metal building software system maintenance.
Seattle's Lease Crutcher Lewis has promoted Sara Gerde to project manager in the Special Projects Division. The company also added Maureen Dilley as project manager, Deborah Fields as project engineer in the Special Projects Division, Ellen Lucas and Todd Leber as project engineers, Kristen Honmaas office assistant and Sher Landrum as payroll accounting assistant. Gerde has eight years of construction experience and joined the company last year. Dilley has more than 20 years of experience, previously with Mortenson. She holds a bachelor's degree from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. Fields is a 15-year construction professional who previously worked for Vanir Construction Management. She is enrolled in the University of Washington's construction management certificate program. Lucas has four years of experience, previously with DR Horton. She holds a bachelor's degree from Brown University. Leber holds a master's degree from Stanford University. Honma holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington. Landrum has worked in payroll and human resources for over 20 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Northern Colorado.
Doug Barnes, president of the Seattle Division of Centex Homes, was named Builder of the Year by the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties. Award criteria included industry accomplishments, participation in civic affairs and involvement in the MBA foundation's activities.
Adam Lundberg was promoted from project engineer to project manager at S.D. Deacon Corp. of Washington. Lundberg holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Central Washington University.
Dale Piccoli was named vice president/chief estimator of Snyder Roofing of Washington. Piccoli has over 25 years of roofing application experience, and has been with the company since 2000.
Seattle-based W.G. Clark Construction promoted Howie Kellogg from senior project manager to vice president, Danielle Finseth and Jason Preuit from project engineers to project managers, and Bruce Hopkins from foreman to superintendent. The company also hired Kurt Robinson as a project engineer. Kellogg has 30 years of industry experience and has been with the firm since 1998. Finseth has been with the firm since 2000 and holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Washington. Preuit has been with the firm since 2003. He also holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Washington. Hopkins has been with the company since 1993. Robinson is expected to earn his bachelor's degree in construction management this summer from the University of Washington.
CH2M Hill has been named to the "100 Best Companies to Work For" list by Fortune magazine. This is the second time in the past three years that the firm has made the annual list. The company states it was selected partly due to its compensation and benefits packages, open communications practices, employee-ownership, learning and development opportunities, and work-life balance programs. Denver-based CH2M Hill has operated a Seattle office for more than 40 years.
