MulvannyG2 Architecture has hired Melba Santos, an interior designer and space planner, as senior associate in the retail environments team. The retail environments team provides design, renovation and remodel services for mixed-use and specialty retail, as well as regional and lifestyle shopping center projects. Santos has 13 years of experience in interior architecture focusing on malls, restaurants, hotels, convention centers and institutional projects throughout the United States, Europe, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.

Adolfson Associates announced the addition of Margaret Clancy, senior project manager, in Adolfson's Seattle office and Jackie Dingfelder, senior planner, to the Portland office. Working in the natural sciences division, Clancy will continue to lead multidisciplinary projects involving transportation and watershed management and restoration. Dingfelder will focus on providing environmental planning, water resources management, public involvement, policy analysis and project management services.

Weber + Thompson has added four members to its staff: Joseph Hines, Sally Yan, Ken MacLachlan and Jennifer Cerulli. Hines is working on an upscale residential building for active seniors on Mercer Island. He has spent the past 12 years working as a project architect and a project manager and has extensive commercial and institutional project experience. Yan, a job captain, has eight years of drafting and design experience and is currently working on a residential high rise project for downtown Seattle. She previously was a CAD technician at Exterior Research and Design in Seattle and earned her degree from Beijing Forestry University. MacLachlan, the firm's IT manager, specializes in network, telecommunications and database administration. He is a licensed professional engineer and a Microsoft Certified System Engineer. Cerulli joined as a receptionist and is also responsible for supporting the architecture, interior design and administration staff.

Walker Macy recently hired landscape architect Jarvis Payne. He will be a senior project manager for the firm. Payne's portfolio includes work in park and open space planning and design, master planning, public infrastructure, low-income housing, urban design and historical landscape preservation. Payne worked at Union Point Park, a reclaimed industrial site in Oakland, the Oakland International Airport landscape master plan and the Taylor Street streetscape/cable car terminus in San Francisco.

Cary Kopczynski & Co. has promoted Ron Mirahsani to associate. His primary responsibilities at CKC include structural design and project management. Mirahsani is managing the structural design of Mosler Lofts, a 16-story tower, and Second and Bell, a 12-story tower. Both are condominiums in Seattle. Mirahsani is also managing Harborside Condominiums, a 10-story building in Bremerton.

Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership announced the return of Dan Simpson as principal designer in the Seattle office. Simpson is responsible for leading the design of the Safeco home office expansion and renovation in the University District, as well as the development of new project initiatives. In his previous tenure at ZGF, he served as lead project designer for Microsoft campus projects including St. Andrews, Pebble Beach, Redwest, and Issaquah Highlands, and worked for clients including Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Safeco, the state of Washington Department of Corrections and the University of North Carolina Hospitals.

R. W. Beck

Two civil engineers, Jay Cammermeyer and Ian Sutton, joined R. W. Beck's water and waste resources practice in the Seattle office. They will provide support to project managers and project teams on a broad range of design and consulting projects.

Miller Nash

Miller Nash's Vancouver office is expanding, with Colleen L. McMullen and Dustin R. Klinger moving from the firm's Portland office. Jeffrey T. Lindberg has joined the firm from Davis Wright Tremaine and Christopher M. Veley was previously with Bullivant Houser Bailey. McMullen specializes in business and corporate matters. Klinger focuses on real estate sales. Lindberg focuses on commercial litigation and Veley works on construction, real estate and commercial litigation.

Avenue A / Razorfish

Seattle-based Avenue A | Razorfish, an interactive marketing and technology services firm, promoted Darin Brown to president of the West region. His responsibilities include overseeing offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland. Brown was executive vice president within the West region.

Alderbrook Resort & Spa

Alderbrook Resort & Spa named Janet Christopher director of sales and marketing.Christopher will direct national and local corporate accounts and establish a Seattle sales office for the Hood Canal resort. She was director of sales at Seattle Hospitality Services and also worked at the Four Seasons Olympic Hotel and Four Seasons Resort Maui.
