Allstate Insurance Co. has hired Mary Ann Gillis as senior corporate relations manager of the Northwest region, which is headquartered in Bothell. She was the communications manager for Compass Health in Everett.
AmericanWest Bancorporation has hired Patrick J. Rusnak as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Rusnak was with Western Sierra Bancorp. AmericanWest is based in Spokane and operates 44 financial centers in eastern Washington and northern Idaho.
Jim Darragh, a shareholder with Clark Nuber, has been elected president of the Manufacturing Services Association, a national association of CPA firms. The Bellevue firm has also hired audit associates Julianna D'Angelo, Matt Dutton, Kelly Seymour, David Vainio and Michael Yamamoto, and tax associates Nikki Grant and Leslie Hurt.
The Lane Powell law firm in Seattle has hired William C.P. Hsu as an associate in its tax practice group. Hsu was with Monahan & Biagi.








Holaday-Parks hired James Sutull, Allan Woida and Derek Hart as project managers; Gil Romero and Rebecca Welch as engineers; and Eric Talley, Michael Thorn and Deborah Cage as project detailers. Sutull has more than 13 years of industry experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. Woida has 27 years of experience and is working in the piping/plumbing division. Hart has been in the industry for more than 17 years and studied at Central Washington University. Romero has been designing mechanical systems for 21 years and holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from National University in the Philippines. Welch, PE, has 10 years of experience, holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Vanderbilt University and is a LEED Accredited Professional. Talley has 18 years of experience and holds an associate’s degree from Shoreline Community College. Thorn has 27 years of experience and holds an associate’s degree in drafting from Everett Community College. Cage has been in construction for 18 years. Both Cage and Thorn completed United Association’s five-year apprenticeship program.






HSW Enterprises, an affiliate of Howard S. Wright Construction, opened an office in the West Coast Bank building at 500 E. Broadway, Vancouver. Four employees from the contractor’s Portland office recently moved into the 1,200-square-foot space. They make up the Corporate Services Group, which oversees the company’s accounting, risk management, legal and safety elements.
The Mechanical Contractors Association of Western Washington relocated its office from the Hardware Building in Pioneer Square to the Metropolitan Park West Tower. The new address is: 1100 Olive Way, Suite 1150, Seattle, WA 98101. The telephone and fax number remain the same.
