Express Construction

Cloud
Huxley
Express Construction hired Joshua Cloud and Kyra Huxley as project engineers. Cloud recently served as the sustainability coordinator for the University of Washington's Capital Projects Office. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Lewis & Clark College and a master's degree in construction management from the UW. He also is a LEED accredited professional. Huxley previously worked for Bassetti Architects and holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from the UW.

John Korsmo Construction

John Korsmo Construction in early 2007 will move its headquarters to Tacoma's Thea Foss Waterway. Korsmo, in partnership with Neil Walter Co., will renovate and occupy the Foss Landing building at 1940 E. D St. Foss Landing is undergoing a conversion from warehouse to office space. Korsmo has been headquartered in Lakewood since 1947.

Allyis

Bellevue-based Allyis has hired Mark Wasowicz as corporate controller, Amanda Konarek as technical recruiter and Sarah Kim as benefits administrator. The Seattle firm has also promoted Kerry Huss and Katie Kloster to lead project managers, John Efta and Melinda Johnston to project managers, Patrick Porter to director of business development, Jason Herman to Microsoft account manager, Pete Mentele to editorial project manager and Jeff Eidelman to lead recruiter. Allyis provides flexible staffing options for technical, Web-based projects.

Carney Badley Spellman

Linda B. Clapham has joined the Seattle law firm of Carney Badley Spellman firm as Of Counsel. She was a partner at Lane Powell.

Washington Wine Commission

The Washington Wine Commission made two recent personnel appointments. Deborah Daoust will join the staff as director of communications and Shayn Bjornholm will be the new director of wine education. Daoust was executive director of the Northwest Chamber Orchestra. Bjornholm spent six years with Canlis restaurant as wine director.

Washington State University

Michael J. Worthy was named a member of the Washington State University Board of Regents by Gov. Chris Gregoire. He is president and chief executive officer of the Bank of Clark County in Vancouver.

Bell Harbor Conference Center

Bell Harbor International Conference Center hired Allan Wambaa as executive chef for Bell Harbor and its sister property, World Trade Center Seattle. He was executive chef at Benaroya Hall.

Seattle-based aerosol adhesives manufacturer Westech Aerosol Corp. has appointed Scott Bobrow regional sales representative for the Northeast region.

Maggiano's Little Italy

Maggiano's Little Italy in Bellevue named Kristin Zydzik the new banquet sales manager. She was catering manager at Embassy Suites in Bellevue. Maggiano's is a chain of restaurants owned by Dallas-based Brinker International.

Washington Restaurant Association

The Washington Restaurant Association has promoted Victoria Olson to director of membership. She has been with WRA for five years.
