GeoEngineers recently hired five geotechnical engineers at the corporate headquarters in Redmond. Jian Hu, a geotechnical engineer, is working on the Greenbridge Hope VI redevelopment project at White Center and The Bravern in downtown Bellevue. Asha Sreekrishnavilasam has a Ph.D. and master’s degree in civil engineering. Zach Newell joins with a master’s degree in civil engineering. Dan Ciani and Chris Kokesh both join with master’s degrees in geotechnical engineering.
Anshen+Allen’s Seattle office has hired Tim Hernaez as associate principal. Hernaez has 25 years of experience in the design of health care and institutional projects. Hernaez is working on two projects as project director: the University of Washington Medical Center expansion in Seattle and the RiverBend Medical Pavilion and Parking Garage for Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield, Ore.
Trindera Engineering, an electrical and control systems engineering and consulting firm based in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, hired Boyd Rasmussen as a project engineer. Rasmussen has 15 years of electrical engineering experience.
ALSC Architects hired Darrin Griechen. He creates renderings in a variety of formats and styles for projects such as the new U.S. Courthouse in Coeur d’Alene, the Manito Condos, the Crossings Mixed Use Development in Coeur d’Alene and Preston Gates Ellis offices. Prior to joining ALSC Architects, Griechen served as an Urban Designer for the City of Spokane where his primary responsibility involved writing guidelines for city planning and zoning.
The Seattle accounting firm Peterson Sullivan has hired Virginia Story as an audit senior. She has 20 years of auditing and accounting experience.
Skyway Water & Sewer District Commissioner Joyce Clark has been elected to the board of the Washington Association of Sewer and Water Districts. The association named the district's General Manager Cheryl Scheuerman Manager of the Year.
KPS Health Plans has hired John Woodall as chief operating officer. He was with the Washington State Office of Insurance Commissioner. Bremerton-based KPS was acquired by Group Health Cooperative last year.
The Washington State University College of Business has partnered with University Centre Cesar Ritz in Brig, Switzerland, to allow WSU international business students to study at the Swiss university for a semester.
Stickney Murphy Romine Architects has added three intern architects: Jessica Miller, Christina Bollo and Leah Ericksen. Miller’s current projects include interior and exterior improvements to an historic building in downtown Seattle and work on a 60-unit affordable housing project on Hiawatha Place South. Bollo is working on the 95-unit Langdon and Anne Simons Senior Apartments on Third and Blanchard, as well as a 60-unit artist live-work project on Hiawatha Place South. Ericksen’s projects include rehab of an historic building in Bellingham and construction of the YWCA Learning Center at Greenbridge in White Center.
