Heller Ehrman

Heller Ehrman plans to open an office in London this year. It will be the first firm office in Europe, and will be staffed by Brian D. Smith, Edward (Ted) P. Henneberry and Stephen C. Ferruolo, who will all relocate to the U.K. Heller has nine offices in the U.S. and three in Asia. Thirteen lawyers have been named shareholders, including Rima J. Alaily and Leo S. Batalov in Seattle.

North American Energy Services

Issaquah-based North American Energy Services Co., which provides services to the power generation industry, named Thomas A. DeNova president and CEO. NAES also has offices in New York City, Pittsburgh, Carneys Point, Portland and Houston.

Talyst

Bellevue-based Talyst, which specializes in pharmacy automation, named Michael D. Bordelon executive vice president, product development, for its extended care group.

Friday Harbor House

Matt Colony is the new executive chef at Friday Harbor House Restaurant in Friday Harbor. He was executive chef at The Beach House at Purdy in Gig Harbor and Pacific Grill in Tacoma.

Canyon Creek Cabinet Co.

Cook
Monroe’s Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. hired Roy Cook as regional sales manager for its Alaska territory. Cook is based in Beaverton, Ore., and will be making regular visits to Alaska. He will serve Canyon Creek and Sky Valley Cabinetry distributors. Sky Valley is a private label of Canyon Creek that is distributed through retail home centers. Cook has nearly 30 years of experience in the cabinet industry.

Inland Northwest AGC

The Inland Northwest Associated General Contractors elected Chris Kopczynski as president of its board of directors. Kopczynski is president of Kop Construction Co. in Spokane. He has more than 30 years of experience in construction and is a graduate of Washington State University. Other board members for 2007 include: Walt Haneke of ACI-AAPEX Construction, first vice president; Clancy Welsh of Garco Construction, second vice president; and Mark Bray of Lydig Construction, treasurer. Past presidents include Max Kuney of Max J. Kuney Co., Jim Paras of Paras General Contractors, Ken Schwartz of Lydig Construction, Jim Cameron of Cameron Reilly LLC and Tom Stewart of Frank Gurney Inc. Friends of Youth

Friends of Youth has hired former Sammamish mayor Michele Petitti as donor relations officer. The non-profit agency provides shelter, housing, counseling and prevention services for young people and their families in King and Snohomish counties.

Western Washington Fair

David R. Campbell, Puyallup, is president of the Western Washington Fair Association. Other elected officers include: W. David Schodde, vice president; Kenneth D. Scholz, secretary; Roger L. Knutson, treasurer; and Kent R. Hojem, manager.

Fortune Bank

Fortune Bank hired Dan Dierdorff as executive vice president and chief lending officer. He has more than 32 years of banking experience. Fortune serves small- to medium-sized businesses.

Northstar Neuroscience

Seattle-based Northstar Neuroscience hired Scott Lynch as vice president of marketing. Matt Gani has been promoted from director to vice president of product development and John Ray has been promoted from director to vice president of product quality and operations. The medical device company focuses on therapies for people suffering from neurological diseases and disorders.
