Destination Hotels & Resorts hired Ron Olstad as senior vice president of hospitality operations at the Suncadia resort near Roslyn. Olstad has 40 years of experience and spent 25 years with Westin Hotels & Resorts in Seattle. He recently worked with CNL Hotels & Resorts. Suncadia is managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, headquartered in suburban Denver.
Golden Lasso, a Seattle-based marketing, communications and design firm, hired Sachiko Kuwabata and Glen Mclean. Kuwabata joins the design team as a designer. She went to Kyoritstu University in Japan. Mclean is an electronic production artist in the production team. He has worked for Eddie Bauer, Fluent Communications and Magnolia Audio/Video.
The Public Records Exemptions Accountability Committee or “Sunshine Committee” will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 28. The meeting will be in the House Legislative Building in Hearing Room C from 9 a.m. to noon. The Sunshine Committee is tasked with cleaning up exemptions from disclosure, which have grown over the years.

Wells Fargo's Greater Puget Sound district hired Kasey Essex as community banking president. Essex has been with Wells Fargo for 17 years and is based in Seattle. She will oversee about 480 team members in 39 banking stores.
Banner Bank hired Ronald Smith as vice president/income property lender at the Bellevue Loan Center. Smith has 36 years of banking experience and last worked for Central Pacific Bank. Banner Bank is a commercial bank headquartered in Walla Walla.
Providence Peter Claver House in south Seattle named Duong Nguyen housing director. Nguyen worked with the Cultural Center at South Seattle Community College. The Peter Claver House, located at 7101 38th Ave. S., provides secure and affordable housing for seniors living independently.
Bothell-based Vertafore, a provider of software solutions for the insurance industry, hired Susanna Morgan as senior vice president, corporate strategy and planning. Morgan was vice president of corporate development at Charles Schwab & Co.

Virginia Mason Medical Center hired Alisha Mark as media relations manager. She joins Kim Davis in the same role. Mark worked as a consultant for groups including the Association of Washington Public Hospital Districts and Swedish Medical Center.
Kirkland-based hospitality company MTM Luxury Lodging hired Dave Ruehlmann as vice president of its asset management division. Ruehlmann was vice president of operations for 13 Kimpton hotels.
The Puget Sound affiliate of breast cancer research group Susan G. Komen For The Cure hired three members in the Seattle branch. Barbara Ebert is controller, Linda Morrison is development director and Lauren Schwartz is race director. Eberta worked at Safeco. Morrison was with the Seattle Symphony. Schwartz was with Wells Fargo in Denver.
