Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn, a Tacoma firm specializing in municipal and civic architecture, hired David Spears and Ralph Colyer. Spears has more than 28 years of experience and is working on the Lakewood Police Station and the Thurston County customer service center. Colyer has 25 years of experience and also is working on the Lakewood Police Station and projects for Pierce County.

Tetra Tech Infrastructure Group, formerly KCM, has made several promotions. Jeff Lykken and Mark Nakatani of Tetra Tech's Seattle office were promoted to vice presidents, Shannon English and Jerry Scheller were promoted to associates, and Sally Newton and Cheryl Oprea have been promoted to managers. Lykken has 20 years of experience and is a specialist in sewer, water and CSO control planning and design. He has managed the design of many conveyance and wastewater storage projects for King County and the cities of Blaine and Mercer Island. Nakatani has 22 years of experience and is LEED-certified. His experience includes public architecture and transit facilities throughout the Northwest, and federal Department of Defense facilities around the world. He is program manager for King County Metro's $100 million transit base expansion. English is responsible for design and management of electrical systems engineering and his projects include the electrical system replacement of the Francis Anderson Cultural Center in Edmonds. Scheller has extensive experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for comprehensive stormwater plans, design of stormwater management facilities, capital improvements, CSO reduction plans, and habitat and stream restoration projects. Scheller is the technical discipline lead for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling in Tetra Tech's water resources program. Newton was promoted to accounting manager, responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable and payable staff, and for corporate liaison with Tetra Tech's financial department in Pasadena, Calif. Oprea has been named manager of contracts and risk management, in charge of contract review, loss prevention, claims management, and insurance and license administration.

Trindera Engineering

Trindera Engineering, an electrical and control systems engineering and consulting firm based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, hired Steve Bradley as a project engineer. Bradley has more than nine years of experience in municipal projects throughout the Northwest, mostly in water and wastewater system design.

Cary Kopczynski & Co.

Cary Kopczynski & Co. announced several promotions: Tanveer Sahoo and Nathan Gollcher to project manager positions, Justin Lopez to digital production team leader and Chi-ying Wang to CAD designer.

Port of Everett

The Port of Everett hired Cyndy Olson as marina director. Olson has 10 years of experience working in marinas, including Elliott Bay and Semiahmoo. She was recently a boat/yacht insurance agent.

McKinley Irvin

McKinley Irvin, a Seattle-based family law firm, hired Jessica C. Munk as an associate attorney and Daniel Carpenter as a marketing manager. Munk served as a clerk at the Washington State Court of Appeals Division I. Carpenter worked with Taylor Gregory Butterfield Architects for three years.

K&L Gates

William H. Neukom, a partner in the Seattle office of law firm Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis, is the 131st president of the American Bar Association. Neukom was Microsoft Corp.'s lead lawyer for 25 years and has worked with the association for 35 years. The ABA says it is the largest voluntary professional membership association in the world and has 400,000 members.

Theater Xtreme

Theater Xtreme Entertainment Group, a nationwide retailer and installer of home movie theaters, announced the grand opening of its newest location in Lynnwood at 6809 Highway 99, Suite C. The design center is operated by Scott Fehr. Theatre Xtreme has five stores and 10 franchises in 11 states.
