The Waterfront Seafood Grill on Pier 70 hired Shing Chin as assistant general manager. Chin has 32 years experience and has worked with El Gaucho, Ovio Bistro, Wild Ginger and the Market Street Urban Grill.
Cushman & Wakefield of Washington hired Steven W. Brunette as director of investment sales, Diana Nay as senior project manager in the Client Solutions group and Kyran Hynes as associate in the Apartment Brokerage Services group. Brunette will focus on investment sales of commercial office properties in the Puget Sound region. He was a senior investment manager for Schnitzer West. Nay will focus on corporate real estate clients. Nay has project management expertise in general contracting, working for Pioneer Construction Management and Skanska USA Building. Hynes joins Pete Shelton and Kim Grant to expand the Apartment Brokerage Services group. Hynes recently earned his juris doctorate degree and worked at GVA Kidder Mathews in Seattle.
Shawn Jackson has been named director of site acquisitions, Northwestern U.S., for The Hanover Co., working in Seattle-Tacoma, Portland and other markets acquiring development opportunities. He was a senior director at Equity Office Properties and worked with the Benaroya Capital Co. Hanover is based in Houston and specializes in multi-family projects. The Northwest office is in Bellevue.
Capmark Finance hired Matt Orr as an assistant vice president in the Bellevue office. He will be responsible for originating commercial real estate finance transactions, reporting to Ron Peterson and Robert Spiro. Orr was with Covenant Mortgage. Capmark operates internationally in three core businesses: lending and mortgage banking, investments and funds management, and loan servicing.
The Washington state chapter of NAIOP, the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, expects to have 300 to 400 volunteers working this weekend at Northgate Elementary School on general clean-up, landscaping, painting, installation of new playground equipment and other improvements. Volunteers will work Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school, 11725 First Ave. N.E. KeyBank in Bellevue promoted Ben Noble to business banking sales leader at KeyBank. Noble has been a KeyBanker since 1998 and was recently a senior business banking relationship manager in the Bellevue Business Banking Group.
As part of the firm's growing China practice, Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt has entered into a cooperative agreement with Stephenson Harwood & Lo, an international law firm based in China with offices in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shanghai. The two firms will remain separate and independent entities, but will cooperate to serve clients on both sides of the Pacific.
Coffman Engineers hired Larry Kudrna as a senior communications designer in the Seattle office. He has more than 20 years of experience in the communications and security industry.
MulvannyG2 Architecture hired Gregory Carpenter as design principal overseeing international projects, Daniel Rosetti as design leader of the retail concepts team and Jane Yin in the corporate mixed-use team’s international group. Carpenter has 30 years of experience directing the planning and design of mixed-use developments, office buildings, department stores, hotels and retail centers. He worked on the Grand Gateway in Shanghai, the Deira City Centre in Dubai, the Pearl Qatar in Doha, Qatar, and retail centers and Nordstrom stores throughout the United States. Rosetti has 17 years of experience in architectural design, and is working on Anthony’s Restaurant in Richland and Kohl’s retail stores in cities in Arizona, Washington and California. Yin has 10 years of experience as a landscape designer and has worked on master planning and landscape design for parks, resorts, campuses and mixed-used projects, including the Jinan East City Master Plan in China in 2003.
Ankrom Moisan Associated Architects made several hires. Jeff Mitchem was hired as senior urban designer. Mitchem has 20 years of experience and will advise on design of buildings and public spaces and manage larger scale development and master planning projects. His immediate focus will be on LEED Neighborhood Development and Living Communities for urban in-fill, brownfield and waterfront projects. Drafter Tony Agee returns to the hospitality team after spending 11 months deployed with the U.S. Navy in Al Anbar province in Iraq. Agee worked for 10 years with the Navy Seabee’s civil engineering corps and for the Army Corps of Engineers. Agee is working on multiple resorts and a mixed-use condo and brewery in Gresham, Ore. The company also hired Andrea Schwoebel as a graphic designer, Dave Torres in the IT department, and Allison Klubert and Nick Baker on the administrative staff.
Perteet Engineering hired Denna Cline as director of transportation planning. Cline has 20 years of experience, including work on the Gateway Program, a $3 billion road and bridge improvement program in British Columbia. She also served as planning director for the second phase of the Seattle Monorail project. Perteet is a civil and transportation engineering consulting firm with offices in Everett, Lakewood, Snoqualmie and Portland.
Northwest Mechanical Engineering recently expanded its engineering services to include full-service electrical engineering, hiring Steffen Teichmann to lead the electrical engineering department. Teichmann is a licensed electrical engineer and former principal/manager for Casne Engineering in Spokane.
