The Port of Tacoma promoted David Myers to senior project manager responsible for capital projects related to redevelopment of the Blair-Hylebos Peninsula. Before joining the port in 2003 as a project manager, Myers was an architect for Tacoma-based Thomas Cook Reed Reinvald Architects. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in architecture from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.
America's Foundation for Chess hired Kelly Jo Stewart as national office manager. The Kirkland-based nonprofit promotes chess in American schools.
The Seattle law firm of Riddell Williams hired Karl Quackenbush and Bryce Holland as principals. Quackenbush has 30 years experience and was a partner at K&L Gates. He will work in the Property Litigation Group. Holland has 30 years experience and was Seattle office managing partner at Dorsey & Whitney. He will join the Corporate Transactions and Finance Group.
Banner Bank hired David West as vice president/income property lender at the Bellevue Loan Center. West has 24 years of banking experience and has worked with First Mutual Bank and Bank of America. Banner Bank is a commercial bank headquartered in Walla Walla.
Seattle law firm Cairncross & Hempelmann promoted Alice L. Wong to principal and hired Jessica Nguyen as associate. Wong is a member of the Real Estate Practice and Hospitality, Travel & Tourism groups. Nguyen worked in the Portland office of Miller Nash.

Bellingham-based Evergreen Team Concepts, a company that provides training, consulting and seminars, hired Joel Baker as chief operating officer. Baker has has founded three high-tech companies.
The Seattle law firm of Short Cressman & Burgess hired Barbara West as a partner. West concentrates on elder law, and will chair the Elder Law Practice Group and the Estate Planning and Probate Practice Section.
The Port of Tacoma has promoted Brian Mannelly to director of port planning. He was manager of terminal planning. Mannelly now oversees port capital improvement projects, including terminal design and facilities development. The Port of Tacoma is the seventh largest container port in North America.
The Portland office of Talbot, Korvola & Warwick, an accounting and business consulting firm, hired Jennifer Hendricks as a manager. Hendricks was a manager with the Vancouver office of Moss Adams and is a certified public accountant with eight years experience. TKW serves clients in Oregon and Washington.
The Seattle office of law firm Davis Wright Tremaine hired John Baier as an associate in its Business Transactions Practice Group. Baier was at Karr Tuttle Campbell and had worked at Quellos Group as a certified public accountant. Davis Wright has 480 lawyers worldwide.
