Seattle-Northwest Securities Corp., an investment banking firm, hired David Fife as senior vice president of the Energy Finance Group and Nicole Peterson as assistant vice president of the Housing and Real Estate Public Finance Group. Fife has 25 years experience and was president and CEO of The Energy Consulting Group in Utah. Peterson was a project manager for Williams & Dame Development in Portland.

Clark Nuber

Clark Nuber, a CPA firm in Bellevue, made a series of new hires. They are Garrett Brown and Bryan Dean as audit associates, Colleen Harper as tax associate, Kammie Lewis as tax manager and Keri Woolery as executive assistant to the CEO.

Virginia Mason Medical Center

Virginia Mason Medical Center promoted Keith Mock to director of finance and Alvin Calderon to program director of the Virginia Mason Internal Medicine Residency. Mock has been at Virginia Mason for five years and was the government programs manager.

Safeco

Safeco hired Kirk Chartier as senior leader of distribution and strategy. Chartier was a senior managing partner at Zyman Group and has worked with General Electric and the U.S. Marine Corps.

Russell Investments

Russell Investments in Tacoma hired Patricia Akiyama as government and community relations director. Akiyama has worked for Quadrant Homes and Weyerhaeuser Co. She also served as chief of staff for U.S. Senator Patty Murray in the late 1990s.

Baugh

Cushman & Wakefield of Washington has hired Sue Baugh as director with the Eastside office leasing team. Luke McKey has joined the firm as an associate on the Downtown Seattle Office Leasing and Sales team. Baugh has more than 20 years of real estate experience, focusing primarily on lease transactions in downtown Bellevue. She was a vice president for the Staubach Co., where she focused on tenant representation and acquisitions for banking, high-tech and law firms. She also worked as vice president of leasing for 13 years for Wright Runstad. McKey will work with Matt Christian, senior director. He served as a sales representative for both a medical equipment manufacturer and an industrial packaging manufacturer and was an associate with CBRE in Memphis.

360 Modern

Orbino
360 Modern, a Seattle-based real estate consortium that specializes in modern real estate, is expanding into the urban modern condo market with a new authorized agent, Michael Orbino. Currently an associate broker with John L. Scott, Orbino is also the listing agent for European Tower, an urban modern condo in Bellevue.

Urban Housing Group

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Urban Housing Group said Alfred Pace has been named co-chairman of the firm. UHG develops multifamily and mixed-use communities in California and Washington. Urban Housing Group recently completed the lease-up of two projects in San Francisco and is seeking development opportunities in major West Coast cities including Seattle. Pace is co-founder and president/CEO of Pacific Property Co., an apartment investment company.

CB Richard Ellis

CB Richard Ellis has added Ryan McDonald as vice president in the Seattle Valuation and Appraisal Services Group. He comes from Cushman & Wakefield and has a degree in economics from Washington State University. McDonald specializes in complex and institutional-grade properties, with an emphasis on retail. He will lead a team of retail specialists, in addition to working on complex institutional and investment-grade properties.

Teens In Public Service

Teens In Public Service hired Cathy Michalec as executive director. Michalec has worked with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America and Goodwill Industries.

Group Health Credit Union

Group Health Credit Union hired John Cruz Iglesias as president/chief executive officer. Iglesias was the SVP/chief lending officer for Washington States Employees' Credit Union. The Group Health Credit Union serves 28,000 members nationwide.

CGI Group

Seattle-based CGI Group, an information technology and business process services firm, made two promotions. Allen Sheldon is now vice-president, consulting services. He was director of operations for the Western USA Business Unit and has worked with CGI since 1996. Teresa Sorrentino is now vice-president, consulting. She has been with CGI for 16 years.

K&L Gates

The law firm of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis named Tamara Watts and Trilby Robinson-Dorn as new partners in the Seattle office. Watts practices in the tax-exempt organizations and nonprofit institutions area. Robinson-Dorn focuses on labor and employment law. K&L Gates has 1,500 lawyers in 24 offices in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Bellevue's 0/8 Seafood Grill and Twisted Cork Wine Bar hired Scott Wilson as general manager. Wilson has worked with Tulio Ristorante, Sazerac, the Frontier Room and Twist.
