Portland architecture firm Fletcher Farr Ayotte has named six new associates:
Erica Ceder, Richard Grace, Brenda Katz, Hai Luc, Tim Mitchell and
Mary Smith. Ceder has been with the firm for four years. She was job captain on the White Stag block rehabilitation. Project designer Grace has been a member of the staff for two years and is working on the Richland Public Library Renovation and Addition, OSU Education Hall Rehabilitation and the Lebanon Justice Center and Library. Katz, who joined the firm three years ago, is an interior designer working on the Boise West Branch Library and the Pacific Crest Community School renovation. Luc is a project architect who has been with the firm for 12 years. His projects include the ODOT Sylvan Maintenance Facility and the Richland Public Library renovation and addition. Mitchell is a member of the construction management team for the new Paradise Visitor Center and the Paradise Inn and Annex Rehabilitation, and has been with the firm for seven years. Smith is an interior designer who has been with the firm for three years and recently completed work on The Wyatt apartments. She is working on the Clearwater Casino and Resort and a new office building at Cascade Station.
GGLO hired nine new people.
Marlon Louie is a project architect with 24 years of experience and is working on the Avalon Queen Anne team.
Marc Aubin is a project designer with 12 years of experience and is working on the Brix River 8 project in Boise and the Spokane Valley City Hall.
Monica Werber is a project interior designer. She has more than eight years of experience with multi-family housing, corporate, hospitality and retail projects and is working on the Shorewood Heights project on Mercer Island.
Oya Findik was hired as a project interior designer. She is working on the Allison Inn and Spa in Newberg, Ore.
Marieke Stientjes Rack joined GGLO as a landscape architecture designer. She is also working on the Allison Inn and Spa.
Laura Ballock was hired as a landscape architecture designer. She has four years of experience and is working on the Atria projects in California.
Renée Marquardt was hired as a project interior designer. Marquardt has more than 18 years of experience and is working on the Allison Inn and Spa.
Jamie Newton was hired as an interior design intern. Newton is working on the Atria senior living renovations in California, the Allison Inn and Spa and the TCR Ballard project.
Leah Mustian is an interior design intern working on a multifamily high rise at Sixth and Lenora, and on the Allison Inn and Spa.
Clark/Kjos Architects hired
Cynthia Johnston as an interior designer. Johnston has more than 15 years of experience in conceptual design, space planning, and programming for health care and corporate interiors. She has worked on projects for Swedish Medical Center, Northwest Kidney Center and Group Health Cooperative.
Group Mackenzie hired
Jenny Richmond in its landscape architecture department. Richmond has more than eight years of experience and was recently elected president of the Oregon chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. She is working on Thatcher Park and Forest Glen Park in Forest Grove, Concordia University Athletic Fields, and the Parks & Recreation master plan for the city of Woodburn.
CDi Engineers said professional mechanical engineer
Dawne Herrick received her fire protection engineer license. Herrick's past projects include the U.S. Coast Guard Shore Operations/Administration Building in Seattle and the University of Washington's Friday Harbor Labs Fire Safety pre-design.
Callison promoted 21 staff members to associate principal. They are: Cindy Davis, Bill Fetterley, Eric Foulke, Vanessa Gallant, Wil Gonzalez, Jeffrey Hamlett, Bin Hao, Christian Jochman, Lisa Kirby, Xiaoli Liu, Chuan Nguyen, Colleen Rutten, Jennifer Saneholtz, Paul Scanlon, Janelle Schneider, Trisna Tanus, Andy Thaemert, Tony Wei, Brad Williamson, Sam Wilson and Saijun Xue.
Cary Kopczynski & Co. promoted Jae-Wook Park to project manager and Michelle Boone to marketing/administrative assistant. The firm also hired Pam Beltz as administrative assistant. Park is working on Escala, a 30-story condominium tower and Enso, a 12-story office building and a 19-story office/condominium tower.
The Seattle Hotel Group, developer of the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Seattle, hired Ben Trodd as general manager of the hotel and residences. Trodd has been with Four Seasons for 10 years and was hotel manager at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills.
Kennewick-based Infinia Corp. promoted Terry Smith to vice president of engineering and product development. Smith has 20 years experience and joined Infinia in 2003 as program manager for Infinia's Space Generator Program. He had previously worked at Boeing. Infinia is a solar technology company.
D.A. Davidson & Co., an investment firm based in Great Falls, Mont., hired David Trageser, Jack Eaton, Chad Cowan and Suzanne Eide as vice presidents of public finance in the company's Fixed Income Capital Markets Group in Seattle. Eaton and Cowan will focus on K-12 education transactions. Trageser and Eide will focus on general municipal finance.
Seattle-based Azaleos Corp., a managed Microsoft Exchange services company, hired Matt Bell as vice president of worldwide sales and business development. Bell has 13 years of enterprise technology sales and management experience and worked with RealNetworks and SourceLabs.
Neah Power Systems promoted Gerard C. D'Couto to president and chief executive officer and elected Paul Abramowitz as the new chairman of the board of directors. D'Couto will also hold a seat on the board and Daniel Rosen, who has served as executive chairman, will serve as director. D'Couto has been Neah Power's chief operating officer since September 2007. Neah Power Systems is a Bothell-based developer of fuel cells.
