Wells Fargo

Jim Linardos has been named business banking manager for the Wells Fargo Washington business development team. Linardos has 35 years of experience in financial services and manages business sales officers throughout Western Washington.

Miller Nash

Law firm Miller Nash named new partners in its Pacific Northwest offices. In Seattle, new partners are Monica Langfeldt and Bob Zech. In Portland, new partners are Abe Cable, Kieran Curley, Kelly Hossaini, Hong Huynh, Clifton Molatore, Ryan Nisle, Michael Porter, Justin Sawyer and Randy Johnson. In Vancouver, new partners are Jamie Howsley and Dusting Klinger. The firm also named Donald A. Burns the new managing partner.

South Seattle Community College

South Seattle Community College's Duwamish Apprenticeship & Education Center has been renamed the Georgetown Campus of South Seattle Community College. The move reflects the continuing evolution of the space while highlighting its position as an integral part of the Georgetown community. The Georgetown Campus also has a new address at 6737 Corson Ave. S.

Northwest Construction

Rogge
Johnson
Bellevue’s Northwest Construction hired Anita Johnson as corporate safety manager and Christopher Rogge as a project manager. Johnson worked in construction for five years following a 12-year tenure in occupational medicine. She is a certified emergency medical technician, medical assistant and hyberbaric medicine technician. She also holds certifications in hazardous waste emergency response operations and disaster site training. Rogge is a 10-year construction veteran with experience in earth moving, bridge construction, environmental remediation and soil improvement techniques. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management finance from Central Washington University.

Nuprecon

Demolition contractor Nuprecon promoted Dave Whitley from senior vice president to chief operating officer. In his new role, Whitley is overseeing Nuprecon’s eight divisions in Washington, Oregon and Hawaii, as well as company-wide safety. Whitley joined the Snoqualmie-based firm in 2001 to launch its ReNu recycling division. He holds a bachelor’s degree in building construction technology and surveying from Willesden College in London. He also serves on the King County Solid Waste Advisory Commission and recently was on the board of the National Demolition Association.

AGC of Washington

Kocer
Swanson
The Associated General Contractors of Washington hired Christine Swanson as government affairs manager in its Olympia legislative office and named Diane Kocer executive director of the Education Foundation in Seattle. Swanson has extensive experience in state government and most recently was director of government and community relations for the Department of Social and Health Services. Kocer has more than 20 years of experience in public relations, marketing, event planning and institutional advancement.

CITC of Washington

Mark Knudson, an instructor at the Construction Industry Training Council of Washington, received the National Construction Craft Instructor Award from the Associated General Contractors of America. The honor was bestowed last week at the AGC’s 89th Annual Convention in Las Vegas. Knudson serves as CITC’s carpentry program department head and has trained carpentry apprentices there for 10 years. Knudson is a superintendent and safety director at J.R. Abbott Construction in Seattle.

AGC of America

Three Northwest contractors won safety awards at the AGC’s 89th Annual Convention last week in Las Vegas. First place Construction Safety Excellence awards went to Reese Electric of North Bend, Ore., in the Specialty Contractor under 100,000 work hours category and to URS Washington Division of Boise, Idaho, in the Heavy over 1 million work hours category. Long Painting Co. in Kent took home a third place award in the Specialty Contractor 300,001-700,000 work hours category
