Mackay Restaurants hired Matthew Brandsey as executive chef at Sea Grill in Tacoma. Brandsey has worked in the restaurant industry since 1995 and worked at Pour at Four in Tacoma.
Group Health Cooperative hired Bob O'Brien as executive vice president of its Health Plan Division. O'Brien worked at Mercer, a global consulting group. He will be joined at Group Health in June by Brenda Bruns, who was recently hired as executive medical director of the Health Plan Division.
Consolidated Restaurants promoted Jim Rowe to president, Greg Hinton to director of operations of the full service division, and Phil Warchol to director of operations of the fast casual division. Consolidated owns and operates Seattle restaurants including Metropolitan Grill, Union Square Grill and Elliott's Oyster House.

The Downtown Seattle Association hired Randy Hurlow as director of communications. Hurlow has 20 years of public relations and marketing communications experience and spent the last six years as public relations manager for REI.
Paladin Data Systems Corp. in Poulsbo hired Jonathan Byrd. Byrd will work with products and software solutions for country and city groups.
The Sheraton Seattle Hotel promoted Shelby Howe to director of group sales. She will oversee the group sales managers with a total revenue responsibility of $36 million annually. Howe has worked with Starwood Hotels and Resorts since 1992
GA Creative, a graphic design and marketing firm in Bellevue, hired Jeremy Parton to the design team. Parton has 15 years experience and has worked with clients including Microsoft, Nordstrom and Starbucks.
Seattle-based Williams Marketing, which provides sales and marketing services for condominium and townhome developers, has added three employees. Kimberley Lobet is general manager, in charge of all operations and information systems, strategic planning, staff management oversight and day-to-day operations. She spent 18 years with Adams & Associates staffing firm. Susan Sipe is director of marketing. She has 25 years of experience in real estate sales and marketing and was sales and marketing director for Mosaic Homes in Kirkland. Steve Snider is assistant developer representative.
The Seattle office of the Staubach company added two senior project managers, Rich Buchco and Bryan Martin, to its Design Construction Consulting Services department. Buchco returns to Staubach after a year away. He was leader of Staubach DCCS in Seattle for six years. He will oversee national T-Mobile account and help develop new third party business opportunities in Oregon. Bryan Martin is a registered architect with more than 18 years of project management and related experience. He worked for Turner Construction and Verizon Wireless.
Colliers International added Mike Volk, a certified forester, to the Natural Resource Group headquartered in Olympia. He will work on timberland as a licensed real estate broker in Oregon and Washington, and will be based in Portland. The group works on Northwest forestland properties, home sites and commercial development, farmland, waterfront and recreational properties. He was president of The Timber Exchange.
