Bellevue-based CFO Selections hired Eric Downs as a new senior associate, and the leader of the firm's newly formed QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions consulting practice. Downs is the founder and former owner of Issaquah-based Foothills Consulting Group, which was recently acquired by CFO Selections.
Garvey Schubert Barer hired Damian Hunt as an associate in its Seattle office. Hunt practices in the area of state and local taxation with an emphasis on valuation disputes and other property tax matters. He recently worked for Deloitte Tax.
Resort Society in Seattle has completed its move into a permanent location and established its base of operations in downtown Bellevue. It is located on top of Washington Square. Resort Society is a provider of luxury travel and destination club memberships.
Dave Letrondo has joined Studio Meng Strazzara as a senior technical architect. He has experience in management, documentation and contract experience in health care, retail, prototype, corporate and mixed-use projects. He is a member of the firm's educational design studio, working on the Woodinville High School modernization project.
NAC has promoted John Eckert to senior associate. He joined the firm in 1995, and is a member of the firm's health care team. He's currently working on designs for additions to ALK-Abello's Pharmaceutical Facility in Post Falls, Idaho; Cascade Medical Center in Leavenworth; and the intensive care and critical care units at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Schacht Aslani hired Whitney Hall as marketing coordinator as well as Katherine Idziorek and Casey Borgen as architectural interns. In addition to marketing the company, Hall is assisting with architectural drawings and three-dimensional models. Idziorek is working on a planning study for the Santa Barbara (Calif.) Museum of Natural History and a long-range campus plan for Shoreline Community College. Borgen is working on Maier Hall for Peninsula College.
Land surveyor Jeremy Disch has joined Pacific Surveying and Engineering of Bellingham as survey project manager. He oversees projects throughout Western Washington. His background is in land-use permitting and consulting, and he specializes in property development and project management. Disch is secretary/treasurer of the Northwest Chapter of the Land Surveyors of Washington.
Electrical engineer Mark Peckover has been promoted to director of Sparling's electrical studio in Portland. He was an associate for three years and helped grow the office from four to more than 20 professionals. In addition to his management duties, he will continue to manage client projects.
Carla Thompson has rejoined MulvannyG2 as director of marketing and business development. Thompson has been operating her own company, assisting architectural, engineering and general contractors. At the Bellevue-based firm, she will lead strategic planning, brand management, coaching and mentoring of staff, and marketing and business development.
