Wayman
Earl Wayman, senior property manager for GVA Kidder Mathews' Bellevue office, won the Outstanding Service Award from the Building Owners and Managers Association of Seattle-King County for 2009. Wayman is a board member and was selected to join the BOMA Executive Committee. He also chairs the Education Committee.

Ryan
Shelley Ryan, a property manager with GVA Kidder Mathews' South Seattle office, has been awarded the Real Property Administrator designation by the Building Owners and Managers Institute. It requires completing eight courses, and three years of property management experience.

Keller Williams

Shari Blackwood, a real estate associate broker in Seattle, joined the Keller Williams Realty Seattle Metro West Market Center as CEO and team leader. She has a background in real estate and business development, and more than 15 years of experience in the corporate relocation industry. The office is on California Avenue Southwest and has 68 associates.

Seattle Mortgage Bankers Association

The Seattle Mortgage Bankers Association's next dinner meeting is Feb. 23 at the Broadmoor Country Club. Joe Garrett and Mike McAuley from Garrett, Watts & Co. will be the main speakers, talking about trends in mortgage lending. The next Income Property Lunch will be March 2 at the Washington Athletic Club. The topic: “Financing Alternative Available to You and Your Borrower — MAP (Multifamily Accelerated Processing,” with a panel moderated by Tom Peters of CW Capital that includes Renee Greenman, director of the multifamily hub for HUD; Raelee Jones, Wells Fargo; and John Taylor of CB Richard Ellis. Washington Mortgage Professionals

The Washington Association of Mortgage Professionals named its 2010 board of directors: President Craig Goebbel, Cascade Pacific Mortgage; President-Elect George Charles, LoanCentral; Vice President Marty Lough, Cascade Pacific Mortgage; and King County Chapter President Mike Young, Cascade Pacific Mortgage.

RHA Economic Forecast Feb. 3

The Rental Housing Association of Puget Sound will hold its Economic Forecast Breakfast Feb. 3 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Red Lion Hotel in Bellevue. Cost is $30 and includes breakfast and parking. John L. Scott Real Estate

John L. Scott Real Estate said Brigitte Pascutoi will be the new managing broker in the Issaquah office. She has more than 20 years in real estate and experience as a business coach and real estate trainer. Pascutoi returns to John L. Scott after working with Keller Williams where she served as a team leader, productivity coach and associate broker.

Solstice Restaurant Group

Solstice Restaurant Group is expanding its Twisted Cork restaurant concept. In February, Twisted Cork will take over space occupied by 0/8 Seafood Grill in Bellevue and revamp its wine bar offerings by providing a more casual dining experience. Matt Bomberger, owner of Solstice, which also manages STIR Martini + Raw Bar, said he decided to introduce a more relaxed atmosphere in response to changes in the Bellevue dining scene. The interior will largely stay the same.

K&L Gates

The partners of global law firm K&L Gates recently voted to elect lawyers to the partnership. Jennifer Cordova was named a partner in the Portland office. Cordova focuses her practice on federal tax issues. Deanna Gregory, Daniel Royalty and Michael Ryan were named partners in the Seattle office. Gregory practices municipal finance and general municipal law; Royalty concentrates on intellectual property and technology counseling and litigation; and Ryan focuses on appellate, constitutional and governmental litigation.

Miller Nash

Miller Nash promoted three attorneys to partner. They are Lisa Lui and Adam Hughes, practicing in the firm's Seattle office, and Jason Conger, based in Bend, Ore. Lui joined Miller Nash in 2006 in the business department. Hughes joined Miller Nash in 2003. Conger joined Miller Nash in 2009.
