Swenson Say Fagét hired Dennis Nelson as senior CAD technician and building information modeling expert. Nelson has 10 years in architecture/engineering/construction and six working with BIM. He will develop BIM standards and do staff training. His previous experience includes the Everett Community College undergraduate building, Virginia Mason Medical Center expansion, Pace Performing Arts Center and Providence Everett Medical Center acute care building. The structural engineering firm has offices in Seattle and Tacoma.
Triad Associates promoted Jeff Savage to associate. He joined the survey field crew nearly five years ago and was promoted to party chief in 2007. His projects include vertical control surveys for Kirkland and Redmond, Bellevue's Belcarra Apartments and The Landing in Renton. Kirkland-based Triad does civil engineering, surveying, planning and landscape architecture.
Davis Wright Tremaine hired Cindy Caditz as a partner and Bobby Soltani as an associate in the law firm. Caditz is an IP attorney and helps protect and monetize intellectual property. She has worked with Alaska Airlines, K2 and Sunbeam Products. Before becoming a patent attorney, Soltani was an engineer for Seagate Technology and the FAA.
Holland America Line hired Jason Grant as director, fleet information technology. Grant will oversee shipboard applications and technology. He worked for 10 years with Lindblad Expeditions, where he was director, information technology.
Bell Harbor International Conference Center, The Edgewater Hotel and Seattle Marriott Waterfront have teamed up to form Destination Seattle Waterfront. The new partnership aims to define the community of restaurants, attractions and hospitality venues on Elliott Bay, and serve meeting and event planners. Redmond-based PlayNetwork, a provider of integrated media experiences, hired Brian Hirsh as senior vice president of marketing, licensing and new media, and promoted Walt Tatum to senior vice president of North American sales. Hirsh was formerly the president of Retail Entertainment Design, an entertainment marketing agency. Tatum joined PlayNetwork in May 2009 as its regional sales director.

Tacoma's Sound Physicians, a hospital medicine organization, hired Steven McCarty as general counsel. McCarty was vice president, legal counsel with Catholic Health Initiatives, and served as general counsel to CHI's facilities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland.
The YMCA of Greater Seattle promoted Andrew Minear to chief development officer. Minear was assistant vice president of financial development. He will lead financial development for 12 YMCA branches in King County and two overnight camps. Minear has worked with the YMCA for more than 10 years.
Banner Bank opened its South King County Commercial Loan Center in Federal Way at 34600 Pacific Highway S. Doug Hedger will manage the new loan center, which has a full array of commercial loan and deposit products. Hedger has more than 19 years of banking and financial experience, and joined Banner Bank in 2007.

ACT Inc. and the National Center for Construction Education and Research are partnering to provide an entry point to construction careers. ACT will apply its research and workforce readiness solutions to assist NCCER in ensuring that prospective and current construction workers have the skills to succeed in NCCER-accredited training courses and on the job. Once launched, NCCER will begin issuing National Career Readiness Certificates to trainees in four levels: platinum, gold, silver and bronze.
