Core Business Bank

Winslow Hayes has joined Core Business Bank in Bellevue as vice president and relationship manager. Hayes has 35 years of banking industry experience, including 20 years in commercial credit and relationship management.

International law firm Dorsey & Whitney hired Michael Moyer as a partner in the Corporate Group in the Seattle office. Moyer handles a variety of securities and commercial transactions, and was an associate with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.

Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker

Meghan Douris has joined Seattle-based Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker as an associate attorney. Douris has experience handling cases that involve professional malpractice, differing site conditions, delay and impact claims, as well as geotechnical engineering concerns. She was an associate attorney with Zetlin & De Chiara.

VIA Architecture added Mahlon Clements as director of urban design and Wolf Saar as director of practice in its Seattle office. Clements is an architect and urban designer with 20 years of experience, focusing on urban design, community planning and transit projects. He has led workshops, designed urban streets and managed documents for infrastructure and building projects. Saar has 25 years in architecture for local, national and international clients. He focuses on design for seniors and special needs groups. He serves on the Capitol Hill design review board and the Washington State University School of Architecture and Construction Management professional advisory board. VIA works in architecture, infrastructure, planning and community building.

Acacio
Tetra Tech hired Elmo Acacio as an electrical engineer, Laura Hendrix as a hazard mitigation specialist, Steve Kennedy as a control systems designer and Scott Rzemien as a construction services manager. Acacio has 18 years in electrical engineering for Seattle area clients, including Boeing. He is on the design team for the Minot, S.D., AFB training facility and the Warrior in Transition complex at Fort Wainwright. Hendrix has seven years of experience with FEMA flood insurance regulations, fluvial geomorphology and riverine processes, hydraulic and hydrologic models, and software for mitigation of flood-related hazards. She is working on FEMA hazard mitigation plans in Washington and California. Kennedy has 20 years of experience in SCADA computer and control systems programming for municipal and industrial applications. He is working on a wastewater treatment plant in Ventura County, Calif. Rzemien has 26 years of experience in public and private construction management and contracting, including water treatment, transportation, hospitals, fire stations and industrial facilities. He is construction manager for Edgewood's Meridian Avenue sewer LID improvement project. Tetra Tech provides consulting, engineering, program management, construction and technical services.

Seattle Parks Foundation

Karen Daubert, founding executive director of Seattle Parks Foundation, will step down in October. Daubert will transition out of her role during the next five months. She began as the only staff member of the foundation in 2001. Today she is supported by an experienced team and new partnerships.

Seattle Repertory Theatre

Jerry Manning will become the official artistic head of Seattle Repertory Theatre, effective July 1. Manning was associate artistic director for eight years and stepped into an interim leadership position as producing artistic director in 2008.

Rushforth

Tacoma's Rushforth Construction won a 2010 Community Service Award from the Association of Washington Business. The awards recognize AWB members that support education, youth organizations, volunteerism and community, as well as programs that mobilize people. Rushforth supports several national charities, including the American Heart Association, March of Dimes and Salvation Army, and employees regularly organize food, blood and shoe drives for local charities. Rushforth's annual golf tournament raised more than $40,000 in 2009 for the Salvation Army, Tacoma Goodwill Industries, Tacoma-Pierce County YMCA and Mary Bridge Children's Hospital. Rushforth is a subsidiary of Minneapolis-based Adolfson & Peterson Construction.

PSC Environmental Services

PSC Environmental Services' Tacoma facility was named a Star Site within the Occupational Safety & Health Administration's Voluntary Protection Program, which recognizes work sites with comprehensive safety and health management systems that have strong management commitment and active employee involvement. The Tacoma facility treats, stores and disposes of hazardous waste. Gary Crueger is the western region vice president for PSC Environmental Services, which is a division of Houston-based PSC, an integrated industrial and environmental services company.

Allied Fire & Safety

Kelly Stopher recently joined Allied Fire & Security in Spokane as chief financial officer. Stopher recently worked at Wells Fargo Bank and has led companies such as Lee Read Jewelers and Weldon Barber. Allied provides home and business owners with life safety, security and communications solutions.
